15. The confessions

Hayden and Karen arrived at the mall and they're strolling around the mall. Hayden just follow where Karen's going even if she go to the makeup store like Sephora.
"I'll go to the toilet for awhile okay? Wait here." Karen ask him for the permission and run to the toilet.
After Karen lost from Hayden's sight he quickly go to Sephora and go to the row that he saw Karen's quite interested to. He then ask the worker there which one was the best-selling products that the customers most likely buy. She said it was Naked, Kylie, Too faced, Huda beauty and so on so he just go with the Kylie lip matte because he don't like a girl that overly make up. He then ask the cashier to put in a luxurious box to make the gift look good. He then put the box inside a paper bag and quickly go to the spot that Karen ask him to wait. He saw Karen standing there and looking for someone.
He waves at Karen and run to her.
"Hey I told you to only be here, where are you going?" Karen scold him.
"I'm sorry." He said and grabs Karen's hand.
"Let's go back home." He said and smile. Karen nod and follows him.

As they walk passed a clothing store they saw Veronica, Chloe and Ashley walking out from the store. They then hide and follow them slowly.
"You still wanna follow them? I think they wanna go back home already." Hayden said to Karen as the already at the parking lot.
"Let's just go home." Karen smile.

"Where's your house?" Veronica ask Ashley as they arrived at the neighborhood.
"Here." Ashley point at the house beside Scott's.
Veronica looks mad and say "okay you may go out now." And fake a smile. She drive away from the neighborhood and scream.
"Chill I know you're mad right now." Chloe try to calm Veronica down.
"Why! Beside Scott's? Like there's so many house here but why beside Scott's?" Veronica horn the car until the drivers that passed by was looking at her.

"Let's go home." Chloe said and you out from the passenger seat. She pull Veronica out and put her at the passenger seat. She'll drive because Veronica looks like she wanna eat all of the car on the road.

"What's in the bag?" Karen ask Hayden as she saw the paper bag.
"Nothing it's just for someone special." Hayden said and smile.
Karen just look down, she thought she was the special one on Hayden's life but she's not.

"Hey Ashley, how's the shopping?" Scott shout from his room. Ashley just show him the thumbs up and go to the bathroom.

"Are you skipping class?" Mrs. Taylor ask Ashley as she went down and watching tv.
"No." She shakes her head and focus on the tv.
"You're lying." Mrs. Taylor raise her voice. "You know that you're dad left us because of a girl right? Please don't cause any problem. Please Ashley Taylor I beg you." Mrs. Taylor holds Ashley's hand.
"Who told you?" Ashley ask and started crying. She can't control her feelings right now. She doesn't meant to hurt her mom. She loves her mom so much since her parent's divorced because her dad had an affair with her personal assistant.
"You know the boy beside our house? Who's his name again?" Mrs. Taylor seems so hard to think about Scott's name.
"Scott!" Ashley said and look at her mom.
"Ah yes. That boy. He's very handsome though. He really cares about you why not you give him a try?" Mrs.Taylor smirks at Ashley.
"I know right!!! I like him more than I like Jack but he likes Veronica." Ashley making a sad face.

"I think he likes you now." Mrs. Taylor smile and give Ashley an envelope. "Here, Scott's came by after school. He was looking for you but you're not home so he passed me this envelope. He said that I can't open it because it's a secret. Urgh doesn't he know that I'm your mother?" Mrs. Taylor shakes her head and grin.
"Seriously? I wonder what's in there.." Ashley take the envelope and open it right away.

I'm sorry. It's quite long that I haven't send you any letter but so do you! Maybe you're enjoying being a sweet/cute couple with Jack right now but please Ashley I missed your letter and you. I missed the old you that looks stylish and innocent. I'm not gonna stay anonymous anymore because its quite frustrating because it takes so long for you to notice it was me. Yes, I'm Scott and I'm the one who sent you a letter everyday. Ive wasted my to wrote down two letters for you and you easily thought it was Jack. Lol but please reply my heart even though I know yours is someone else's now. I'm sorry for the late confession and if you're not ready for it we can just be friends. I love you.'

Ashley smiled and laugh and cry at the same time. She don't know how to express her feelings. She was happy and sad and angry. All of her feelings are mixed up. Mrs.Taylor look at Ashley weirdly. "Are you okay?"
She laugh. "Absolutely yes." Ashley run upstairs and look at Scott. She saw Scott was walking around his room maybe for practicing his leg. Scott notice her was watching and smile. She laugh and show him the letter. Scott notice and take a piece of paper that he wrote down weeks ago that say I Love You and show to Ashley.
Ashley open the window
"I Love you too." She shout and make a flying kiss. Scott laugh and shakes his head.

"Hi" Carol got a text from an unknown number.
"Who's this?" She text back. She had no idea of who this is.
"I thought you had my back." The text says. Carol smile and types.
"Is it you Jack?" She ask and he reply right away.
"Yeahhhh you got me."

*the ringtone*
"Omg should I accept or decline?" Carol was shocked because Jack is calling her. She then accept and say Hello.

"Hey what's your name?" Jack ask because he doesn't know Carol.
"I'm Carol."
"I like your braveness."
"Thanks." Carol laugh awkwardly.
"So you had my back huh?"
"Yeap always Jack, always."
"Can you be my lucky charm on my next game."
"Lucky charm?"
"Yeah you just sit at the stands like VIP."
"Okay what? you want me to be your lucky charm instead of Ashley?"
"You want it or not?"
"Yes of couse!" She accidentally shouted because she was too excited.
"Are you that excited?"
"Yeah haha." And both of them laugh.
"So when?" Carol ask to cut out the laughs.
"Tomorrow."
"What?"
"Yeah sorry for the sudden."
"No, I'm okay. So.. tomorrow meet you at?"
"I'll take you."
"From home?"
"Yeah text me your address. Bye gotta go."
"Bye" Jack ends the call and Carol text him her address right away. She was so happy. Seriously?! Lucky charm for Jack? She'll never get more happier than this.
