After sometime, Creech finally woke up. As her vision cleared up is blurriness, she saw that she was in a house, not laying outside in the countryside. And she felt like she was getting gently stroked by the side of her face. Turing her head, she saw that it was just a lovely young woman stroking her side of her face while smiling at her in the most friendly way. Her eyes shone at her with love by their green-blue color. And her dress was a pretty blue with a brown leather belt at the waist. Her long brown hair was pulled back into a curly ponytail and was held there by a light yellow ribbon. Her small earrings were a pearly white, and around her neck was a small gold flowered key charm. She looked very beautiful.

"Are you okay, girl?" the woman asked gently. Her voice had a bit of a French accent to it.

"I-I guess," Creech managed to say in a weak voice. "Whe-Where am I? How did I get here? Who are you?"

"You're in Propwash Junction," the woman explained gently. "My husband Dimitiri and my best friend Esmerealda brought you here. As for my name, it's Anastasia, but it's okay if you called me Anya."

Creech was silent for a moment. Then, as the memories of her family's death flooded her mind, she could barely hold back her tears. Seeing this, Anya became worried.

"Creech, are you okay?" she asked, concerned. "You seem sad about something. Can you tell me?" She knew that it wasn't the smartest thing to ask, but she had to know somehow.

So as she cried, Creech told her everything-the attack, the killing-she didn't leave out s single detail. When she finished, she was still crying. Anya felt touched to the heart. She knew how it felt to louder the ones you love-especially family. Struggling to hold back her own tears, she gently picked up Creech and hugged her close, cradling her in her arms. As Creech's sobs got louder, Anya sushed her gently in an attempt to comfort her.

"Shh, shh, shh," she whispered in a soft, gentle tone. "It's okay. I've got you."

Soon, Creech began to relax at the sound of Anya's voice. Within moments, she was fast asleep in her arms.

Anya couldn't help but smile. Creech was just a sweet young girl. As she looked out the window at the night sky, in her heart, she wished that she would adopt her as her own daughter as she laid Creech back down and tucked her in. She cupped her hand in her cheek for a few moments and then left.

Soon, Creech decided to meet some of the other folks of Propwash Junction. If you would ask her, she'd answer that she had already loved it. She met all sorts of people who were actually friendly and helped her move on with life. Out of all the people she loved, besides Anya, Dimitiri, and Esmerealda, who she met about a day or two after her arrival to the town, she made true friends and sibling-figures out of 7 other people named Pocahontas, Cinderella, Kovu, Junior, Dusty Crophopper, Mulan, and Snow White.

Pocahontas was a brave Indian princess who taught Creech about courage.

Cinderella was a beautiful young woman who taught her about working hard and following her dreams.

Kovu was a young, dark-colored lion cub who who once helped Creech stand up to a bully who used to pick on her. Since then, Kovu had taught her to stand up for both what was right and for her dreams.

Junior was a young asparagus who taught Creech about friendship.

Dusty was a crop duster who had always had a thing for flying fast. And ever since, Anya and Esmerealda had helped Creech build her first hover-sail craft, Dusty had taught her how to fly. Creech might have been only 10 years old, but she soon caught on quickly.

Mulan used to be a fighter, so she had taught Creech on how to defend herself in case she was attacked.

And Snow White was the kindest woman Creech had ever met in her life. She taught her on how to be a friend to all the woodland creatures.

For the 1st time since her family's death, Creech finally felt like she was at home.

On Creech's 11th birthday, Anya and Dimitiri were gone for most of the day. That evening, Creech was in Dusty's house reading in her bedroom when Junior told her that Anya and Dimitiri had returned from a long flight to the courthouse and were now needing her outside. When they saw her coming, Creech could tell that they were smiling happily. As soon as she arrived, Anya showed her adoption papers. At first, Creech was shocked and speechless. "D-Does that mean-?" she stammered.

"Yes it does," Dimitiri answered with a smile. "Me and Anya had decided to adopt you. We've always wanted a daughter-even if her hair color is green."

"Welcome to it family, Creech," added Anya happily.

On hearing this, Creech was so happy, she ran over and threw herself in Anya's arms and hugged her. Then, she moved to Dimitiri. "Thank you, guys!" she exclaimed happily. "This is the best birthday present ever!"

Smiling with happiness, Anya and Dimitiri both hugged her back, as well as everyone else in town. Creech, who was a former princess, was now an offical member of their dysfunctional family.
