Meanwhile, over in Mexico, Matt and Sheree were watching the skies anxiously for their friends with Bob and Larry when they suddenly heard a lot of commotion. Peeking around the corner, they saw that a bunch of reporters were crowding around Ripslinger and his team. "Senor Ripslinger," one said, "do you have any comments about the disapearence of Dusty Crophopper and his siblings?"

"Not much," Ripslinger said, pretending to be sad, "but Dusty was a great guy who flew the skies and pierced the clouds of medeocrady. We're all gonna miss them."

"Yeah right," Matt muttered under his breath.

His suspicions were confirmed when after Ripslinger and his team were out of earshot of the reporters. "Well it's too bad that they're mostly gonna be grounded for good," he said with an evil smirk.

The others except Shenzi laughed and laughed. "Why," she said as anger grew in her, "I knew all this time that you would do something like this! You guys are nothing but a bunch of monsters!"

"Puh. Like there's anything you could do about it. You should've been happy that they've been gotten rid of," Zira said, pure scorn evident in her voice. "Instead, you go around, claiming that you like them."

"Which I do!" Shenzi blurred out.

They all froze and stared at her. No wonder she was gone most of the time at night. Scar was angry. He'd known all this time that something was going on with her. And now that his former trusted hyena friend revealed it by what she said, he was more angry than ever before. "Why," he growled as he pounced at her, striking her head hard enough to send her tumbling to the ground, "you deserve to be killed for this!"

But the moment he raised his paw, a sharp sword swiped at it, cutting it hard enough for Scar to withdraw quickly. When he recovered, he looked up at who interfered him-and growled. For there was Matt, who had heard enough. His sword was drawn, he was standing in front of Shenzi, who was unconscious due to the strike, and there was an anger in his eyes that couldn't be quenched. "How dare you!" he exclaimed. "Shenzi's right! You guys really are a bunch of monsters!"

"Matthew's right!" Sheree said as she, Bob, and Larry joined him. "Besides, as for Creech and her siblings, I'm willing to bet that they have about-"

    "YOU!" a voice suddenly interrupted.

They all turned to see El Chupacabra storm over; he was so angry that his face was redder than Bob. "Senor Dusty and his siblings have 10 times the racing heart you guys do!" he growled

"And 10 times the integrity!" Ishani added as she, Tom, and Kiara arrived. The Indian racer had a cold look on her face and tears smarting in her eyes.

"Says the racer with the shiny new air goggles," Ripslinger sneered. "How much integrity did those cost you, sweetheart?"

"Too much," Ishani said simply. "You guys used to be great champions. How the mighty have fallen." She then turned and walked off, a single tear falling down her cheek.

Tom and Kiara followed her, looks of regret showing on their otherwise serious faces. El Chu's brown eyes followed them as they disappeared around the corner and glanced back at Ripslinger, his angry look returning. "Hmph! You are not even worthy of a cape swish!" he said, an angry tone edging in his voice as he and his friends stormed off, Sheree carrying Shenzi as they did so.

"Really?" Ripslinger asked with a scoff.

Meanwhile, over on a cliffside, Ariel was deep in concentration, letting the soft wind blow through her bright red hair. She was also deep in prayer when she suddenly looked disturbed-just as Aurora came over. Hearing her footsteps, Ariel turned and saw her best friend and sister figure. "Aurora, I'm going with the Mexican search-and-rescue team," she said as she started to walk away.
