The next day, the racers got ready for the next leg of the race, which would be the longest one. They would have to fly across the Pacific Ocean to Mexico, with a quick rest stop in Hawaii. So far, Dusty and his siblings were in first place while Ripslinger and his team were in second. Creech had just woken up with the sunlight from her window hitting her face. She felt very refreshed and full of energy after a good night's sleep. After getting ready, she got her sailcraft and stepped outside, humming cheerfully to herself. To her left, she could see the 4 lion cubs messing around with each other happily, the whole Himalayian experience behind them. To her right, Cinderella and Charming were talking pleasantly to each other, ending their conversation with a passionate kiss before parting-something that somehow brought a smile to Creech's face. At least I now know that that experience is behind us now, she thought.

As she passed the leaderboard, she saw Ripslinger glaring at it with a very unimpressed look. Scar and Zira were glaring at her angrily as she passed by with a cheerful wave. "Yep, first place," Dusty said as he walked by. "Not to bad for a group of 'farm folks'."

Ripslinger just growled. Without even thinking, Ned said, "Puh. Oh yeah? Well first place is for losers."

"Can it, moron," Ripslinger ordered, throwing his oil can on him-which ended up hitting him on the forehead.

"Ow," Ned groaned, rubbing his forehead while Zed just laughed.

"Now listen up," Ripslinger said, unaware that Shenzi was listening from behind the leaderboard. "It's time to make yourselves useful."

Meanwhile, Dusty had made it to the starting line just as Creech was getting her sailcraft ready to start when Kopa and Kovu ran by, takling each other. Just then, Sheree and Matt came by with confused expressions. "Hey, have any of you seen El Chu anywhere?" asked Sheree.

Creech paused for a moment. "Uh, I don't think so," she said. "I thought he was with you guys."

"Well, he was," Matt said with a bit of annoyance, "but the problem is that now we can't find him. Where in tarnation is he?"

Before Creech could say anything though, they could see El Chu hurrying over to the starting line. One look, and they could also see that he was out of breath and was covered in kiss marks. "What happened to you?" asked a surprised Dusty.

"That song," El Chu gasped. "It flipped a switch!"

Before anyone could ask, they heard someone say, "Oh, my little monster! Come here!"

And the next moment, Rochelle was pulling at El Chu's cape, which was already ripped a little, yanking him away. "Oh brother," Matt grumbled, face-palming himself.

Sheree didn't say anything. She just glanced at Creech, who just shrugged. "Personally, I really wasn't expecting it," she said simply as El Chu came over again.

"She is like a jaguar now," he said as Rochelle dragged him away with her again.

At that moment, Junior came by, whistling a tune to himself. Luckily, he didn't ask what was going on; he'd end up getting confused anyway since he was still a kid and all. "Start your engines!" announced the race official.

"Phew," Matt said, wiping his forehead. "And at first, I thought I was gonna get sick."

Sheree and Creech couldn't help but giggle to each other as they got ready to take off. As soon as the flag was waved, they were all on their way, flying through the fog. In this race, they had to use their radios to help them navigate. Otherwise, anyone going through here would end up getting lost-which was the key to Scar, Zira, and Ripslinger's plan. As soon as they were out of camera sight, Ned, Zed, Benzai, and Ed dropped behind the other racers until they saw Creech and her siblings far down below. Creech was controlling her sailcraft, Pocahontas and Cinderella were sitting on either wing looking around, Dusty was leading the way, and Kopa, Kovu, and Junior were keeping a sharp eye out while having a conversation. Seeing that most of them were distracted, Ned looked over at Zed and the 2 hyenas, giving a nod. Knowing what they had to do, all 4 of them flew downwards, putting their plan into action. While Ned hit Dusty on the back, Benzai and Ed attacked those on the sailcraft. Luckily, Mulan had taught Creech well in fighting, so the pale green-haired girl was able to fight them off with her makeshift sword, which was made entirely out of good, strong, hard bamboo wood. When Ned tried to get at her, she spun around fast in his direction and got him square in the nose. "Not on my watch!" she said as she got ready for another attack.
