For the next few days, Creech and the others forgot about the race and just went back to their old routines. Dusty was mostly miserable, but nothing they said could comfort him in the slightest-which bothered Creech more than she would like to admit it. She hated to see her older adopted brother down in the dumps and wanted to help him. But what was the problem? She didn't know how to do it. What they all didn't know, however, was that Skipper and a certain someone was watching them and couldn't help but feel sorry for them for some reason...

One day, Creech was done with her chores for the day and was now sitting near a river that wound it way around the clift on which the town was built. It was the shape of an airplane, but Creech loved it nonetheless. While she was stirring a stick around in the sparkling, blue water, her mind lost in thought, she was startled by the sudden sound of hoofsteps. She looked around-just in time to see Pocahontas ride on Margo. "Thank goodness I found you, Creech," she said.

Creech was confused. "Pocahontas, what's going on?" she asked.

"Racing official arrived today. He wants all of us," she said as she got Creech on Margo and had the horse run back to town. "He wants to tell us something important."

Meanwhile, Anya was just running a few errands around town when she heard an argument going on. Peeking around the corner of a building she hid behind, she saw that her daughter and the others were talking to a local race official. For a while, Anya didn't know what had him all annoyed. Didn't take her long to find out that it was apparently Chug's seemingly-endless rambling. I really don't know what's gotten into that guy nowadays, she thought with a giggle.

She didn't know what made it stop, but she could see that they were speechless with shock. The next moment, Snow White was squealing with glee and Mulan was jumping up and down with joy. Confused, Anya came over. "Guys, what's going on?" she asked as the rest of the town gathered around them.

"Didn't you hear?" Mulan asked with pure excitement. "Apparently, Fonzerelli was disqualified with using an illegal fuel enhancement! Your daughter and her siblings are gonna race around the world after all!"

Anya was both surprised and happy. She never heard anything like it. But when she heard Chug and Sparky talk about what they would face during the race, she couldn't help but notice that Creech and her adopted siblings were getting nervous. Man, Chug and Sparky, you two have done it again, she thought with a sigh.

Meanwhile, Creech was sitting alone in her bedroom, looking at a world-wide atlas where Junior had pinpointed the locations of the checkpoints with a red marker. They twisted where the racers had to stop at during the race. They were located on Iceland, Germany, India, Nepal, China, Mexico, and the United States. Even though she wouldn't admit it, she was starting to have second thoughts about entering the race when suddenly, Kopa raced in and zipped under the blanket. "Again, Kopa?" Creech asked annoyed.

"That lion's here," Kopa replied, shivering as he peeked out from the blanket. "I'm hiding underneath this blanket until he's gone." And with that, he ducked back underneath safety.

Creech was about to ask who he meant by "lion" when she heard a deep voice say from behind her, "Bad idea."

Startled, Creech spun around so fast, she ended up falling over. When she recovered and looked up, she nearly had a heart attack. For standing there was a very-much-grown up lion with a very serious expression on his face which was none other than Mufasa himself. He was a lot like Kopa except he was much older. His mane was fully grown and was a reddish-brown color. His fur was a golden-orangey color that shone in the sunlight coming from the window. His paws were huge yet made no sound as he came over, his tail swishing from side to side. Behind him was a tan-brown colored lioness who Creech guessed to be named Sarabi. If she remembered correctly, Sarabi was Mufasa'a wife. "What you're about to do is not going to be easy," Mufasa warned in that deep voice of his. "You must both understand and remember that. You guys are going up against the best racers in the world-and some of them don't even finish."

"W-we do understand, sir," Creech said, shuddering with fear. "I-it's just that, well, w-we didn't know that it would be, well, this hard."

"You're right, young girl," Mufasa said, looking out the window with Creech joining him. "This isn't going to be like flying through pylons, you know. This is the real thing you're about to deal with here in not to long."

That made Kopa poke his head out from underneath the blanket. "Wait a minute," he said as he started to realize it. "So what you've been saying is that you and Skipper have been watching us during practice-the whole time?"

"Yes," Mufasa answered. "Mostly watching you guys make fools out of yourselves."

Kopa face-palmed himself, feeling embarrassed about not noticing that in the first place. But Mufasa just ignored the reaction and turned to Creech, who was still looking out the window. "Except the real question is: Why do you guys want to enter this race? You're just crop dusters."

Sighing, Creech just turned to the big lion, blue-green looking at pure orange. "To make a difference," she finally replied. "Honestly, we've been doing what we've been doing-for years. I've been living here ever since Aunt Esmeralda, Mom and Dad took me here 7 years ago. Ever since Dusty told me about his dream of racing, I've been wanting to do it, too. But mostly, we just want to prove that maybe, well, we can do more than what we were meant for."

Silence hung in the room for a while, making Kopa feel a bit uncomfortable as he watched from the blanket, which he was still underneath. Finally, Mufasa just nodded and as he left said sternly, "5:00 tomorrow. All of you-don't be late."

Sarabi smiled as she turned to the two kids and said, "He agrees to get you guys ready for the race first thing tomorrow morning." With that said, she followed Mufasa out of the bedroom.

Creech and Kopa were silent for a while. As the news sunk in, however, their confused looks turned into big smiles. And when Pocahontas and the others cane back later that night, they were happy to; Skipper had agreed to help. So it was that all 7 siblings went to bed, wishing that morning would come.
