2 weeks after the adoption, Creech, now 11 years old, was riding on her house, Margo, through the meadows. She always loved flying through the sky, but Anya had once taught her how to ride a horse. Now Creech loved horseback rising as much as she loved flying. Margo loved it, too. She thought that Creech was the best horse rider ever. The moment they first met during a horse fair, they had instantly became friends. Margo had loved Creech's friendly personality, and Creech had loved Margo's black mane and tail as well as her chesnut brown fur-and for the same friendly personality.

On this particular day, while running through the meadow, Margo suddenly saw something not to far of from where she was that made her rear up in surprise, making Creech also alarmed in the process.

"Whoa, easy there, girl!" she exclaimed, managing to calm her down. "What got you so startled like that?"

Margo just pointed ahead with her hoof. Creech looked-and saw the same thing.

I wonder what it is, she thought. Then to her horse, she said, "Come on, Margo. Let's go see what it is."

Slowly, Margo walked over to it, trembling a little with each step. Creech was a little nervous as well. When they approached it, Creech jumped off the saddle and got a closer look. What she saw-made her gasp. Her eyes went wide with wonder. For there, laying on the ground, was a cute little lion cub. He looked like Kovu because of his height, but was different. His beautiful, golden-orange fur was covered in bad scratches and he was bleeding badly. He was still breathing, much to Creech's relief, but almost barely. Feeling sorry for the cub, Creech picked him up gently after she wrapped a couple of bandages and a blanket around him. She raced over to Margo, who was eating some grass, and jumped onto the saddle.

"Come on, girl!" she exclaimed. "We gotta get back home and tell Mom and Aunt Esmerealda about it! Maybe they can help!"

Seeing the situation, Margo raced back home as fast as her legs could take her. Once Anya and Esmerealda saw the cub after Creech told them about him, they instantly got him to their medical room.

The next day, Creech was in her room, keeping an eye on the cub. Anya and Esmerealda had worked all night treating his wounds. Still, he wasn't showing any sings of life (besides his breathing, anyway). Then, the cub started to stir around a little, causing Creech, who was done getting dressed for the day and was now putting a black headband in her hair, to notice. Gently, she splashed a little water on his face, successfully reviving him.

"Ugh..." he groaned as his eyes opened a little.

Creech stroked him softly while in his line of vision. "Shh, shh, shh," she whispered. "It's okay, little guy. I'm right here."

By now, the cub was fully awake. "Thanks for saving my life," he said, smiling. "My name's Kopa, by the way. What's your name?"

"I'm Creech," said the girl with a friendly smile. "How'd you manage to get here to Propwash?"

"Well..." said Kopa thoughtfully. "I don't remember. All I actually remember was getting badly injured by some lioness named Zira and then-blackness."

Luckily, Creech understood. "Well, you need plenty of rest before you can meet everyone in town. Doctor's orders. You can tell me the whole story later."

But Kopa didn't answer. He was already fast asleep, the visit leaving him tired. Creech chuckled softly as she kissed Kopa's forehead gently and left-causing the cub to smile in his sleep unknowingly.

Soon, it wasn't too long before Kopa was accepted into the family. Creech was happy once she heard the news. Now the cub would finally have people to care for him.
