Chapter 22

I"m glad Uncle Dean is back and that he wants to take Jess home. Maybe her family life will go back to semi-normal. I know with Uncle Dean being back from the dead and her mother being possessed by a demon (which is still weird) will be a thing to get used to. I'm just surprised I'm actually good at lying. I don't have a project to work on. Jackson is this boy who has been my friend for five years and a year ago he told me that he was bi and then proceeded to ask me out. Of course I didn't tell my dad about my boyfriend or Jess or Uncle Dean. It's just he one thing that's normal in my life right now. I mean come on imagine if you were in my shoes. You find out that monsters are real. That your dad and uncle hunt them and kill them. That their best friend is an angel and that your cousin knew about the supernatural stuff. That your uncle is back from the dead. I'm freaking terrified of everything because that's how my mother conditioned me. My dad used to work all day in a library at the local college while my mother used the money for drugs and then sold her body to make more money. She practically left me alone until she decided I was a pain in her ass so that made her try to KILL ME. I get awful panic attacks. I don't even take medicine for the constant anxiety I experience. Hell I've been so terrified that I haven't even told my dad I'm gay. So yeah, being with Jackson makes me feel normal and calm. It gets me away from crazy for just a little bit. 

"Ty, baby are you coming in for the movie?" 

"Yeah one sec." I hollered finishing up with the popcorn and going into Jackie's room. We were watching the Princess Bride, Jackson loves this movie.

"Popcorn." I said placing it on his bed next to the open pizza box and Twizzlers before sitting next to him. "You sure I can never meet your father?" 

"I don't know." 

"I would like to, I mean you've met my parents even before we started dating." 

"I know but it's sort of weird. My family isn't a normal apple pie kind of family." 

"White picket fence apple pie families are boring anyway." 

"But you don't understand. My family is really weird." 

"There's more to this isn't there." 
"I haven't told them yet." 

"Like that you have a boyfriend?" 

"That I'm gay." 

"Ty, we talked about this. I came out as bi to my parents then told them about you. You were supposed to tell your dad." 

"I know, I just got really scared and then Jess came to live with us." 

"Does she at least know?" 

"No."

"I bet if you tell Jessebell she'll make sure you get through telling your dad without passing out." 

"But..." 

"Or I could come with."

"No, I want to know how he feels before I introduce you." 

"Just try soon, please." 

"I'll make sure it happens before we graduate." 

"It better." Jackie said pulling me to his side and returning our attention to the movie.
