I eventually worked up the nerve to talk to Brooke, and I was right on how she would react. She adores Noah and thinks we would be adorable together. No matter how many times I tried to tell her we weren't making out or anything like that, she would listen and continued gushing over her version of the scene she saw.

I got saved from the conversation when mom, Emma, and Ally got home from grocery shopping and made us go and put it all away.

"So I have something to tell you Liv" Emma pipes up, catching all of our attention. We were currently sitting down at the table eating the pasta mom had made after we put everything away.

My eyes shoot up to meet Emma's eyes, only to notice her hazel eyes staring back.

I look around the table and notice everyone giving me a knowing look. So it's something that I don't know?

"Liv, I got an apartment. It's right on campus." She mutters, her eyes looking everywhere but at my own.

I sit there taking everything in before I hear my name called out.

"Liv," Emma says, giving me a sad expression, "could you please just say something? It's not like I'll be world's away. I'm only be a car ride away. Liv we'll still be-"

"You knew?" I interrupt her and turn my gaze to mom. She just lowers her head, proving my statement.

"Honey she's jus-"

"For how long? How long did you two know?" I interrupt again.

"Two weeks" She answers, her green eyes meeting mine. Two weeks. She's known for two weeks and didn't bother to tell me.

I abruptly stand up from my seat and race towards my room, wanting to get away from my family. I go straight to my window seat, which has become my saving Grace over the years.

My sister is leaving. I may be overreacting, but I've always lived with her. I don't want them to leave. Of course we fuss and fight, and she get on my nerves on a regular, but she's my second oldest sister. She's always been here. I've always been closest to her.

"Liv?" Emma says, walking into my room, "Can we talk?" Ally trails right behind her. Brooke right behind her.

"Just leave me alone." I tell them. I don't want to do this. I want my sister here. I'm so used to seeing her everyday, I don't know what I'll do when she won't be here.

I didn't even notice when Ally came and sat in front of me on the seat. I turn my head away from her so I don't have to look at her.

Emma's kneeling on the floor beside of Ally with Brooke next to her.

"Livie, what's the problem with me moving?" Emma asks, breaking the silence. Does she really not see?

"You're leaving me! I'm losing you! You won't be here anymore, I won't see you everyday. And I don't want that to happen. You are supposed to stay. You're not supposed to leave." I cry out, feeling the salty tears slide down my cheeks and onto my shirt.

"Oh Liv!" I'm not leaving you! I promise!" Emma says with teary eyes, pulling me into a tight hug.

"Liv I promise we will always be here for you. I could never leave you. We could never leave you. You're our baby sister. As much as we would want to, we could never fully leave you." Ally reassures me.

"As much as we want to." Brooke mumbles, a bright smile on her face. Ally kicks her softly and we all start laughing.

"But who's going to drag me to parties and make me drink until I have alcohol poisoning? And throw ice cold water on me when I don't wake up? Or be there for me when I'm down?" I say, sniffling. I'm not me without them. I'm just not. I can't imagine functioning without them.

They're all look at me with sad eyes.

"Livie, just because I'm leaving doesn't mean you're losing me. I'm not even moving out for another two months. And I'll be over every weekend to drag you to the best college parties in town. I promise."

"Pinky promise?" I ask like a little kid, but it's how I do things.

She holds up her pinkie finger next to mine and intertwines it.

"I see everything's okay again?" My mom says as she enters the room, taking a seat on my bed.

I look at them all. We may be the craziest and the most dysfunctional family out there, but that's exactly what we are. Family. You don't get another one.

"Yeah, everything's okay."
