And if love be madness, may I never find sanity again.
-John Green
*****I absolutely despise Calculus. I feel like it's the most irrelevant subject known to mankind. It's pointless. And thanks to Ms. Stevans, I have over 50 questions on it due tomorrow. I've been staring at it for over an hour trying to figure out number one. This is not how I want to spend my Thursday afternoon.
*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK*
I nearly fall out of my bed when I see the blue eyed goblin outside of my window. His giving me a toothy grin, pointing towards the lock on my window. How the hell did he even get up there?? It's about a 30 foot drop from my window.
I get up and jog over to my window, still wondering why that prick of a boy is at my window. His eyes are staring me down. I open my window, nearly knocking him off the ladder he has.
"Hey little Red. Nice weather we're having isn't it?" He says sort of breathlessly. I give him a confused look but he just smiles.
"Noah... before I push you off the ladder and down to the ground, please explain to me why you're at my house." I try and say calmly, but failing miserably.
His hair is spiked up a little, those eyes shining brightly at me. "Move out of the way, or when I come through the window, I'm going to take you done with me." he smirks, climbing up the rest of the ladder and coming through my window, landing on my window seat and knocking a few pillows off in the process. I notice a blue and gold jersey slung over his shoulder. I assume the jersey I'm supposed to wear.
"Noah what are you doing in my house!" I shout, crossing my hands over my chest. He gets up and walks over to me, standing a few feet away. My heart rate picks up at the close proximity between us, and I step back a few steps.
"I wanted to ask if you'd wear my jersey." He says, walking even closer. I back up from him, only to have him step forward. Soon enough I feel my back press up against the wall and he smiles.
"You already asked me that. For the past three days. I said maybe." I breathe.
"Well I would like an answer right now Princess." He whispers in my ear, making me shiver from the way his lips brush past my ear and he pulls away. He just doesn't stop until he gets what he wants. And he knows exactly how far to push me.
"I suggest you back up Greene," I say, barely audible. I feel like I can't breathe. He's so close. And he's doing it on purpose is the worst part.
My words only bring a smile to his face, and just when I thought he couldn't, he got even closer.
"Why would that be Sanders? I see no problem." He thinks he's honestly funny. I smile widely at him, before kneeing him where it counts.
He falls to the ground, groaning as he holds his prized jewels. I bend over to his height. "Maybe next time you'll listen to me when I say to back up All-Star." I whisper in his ear, enjoying the sight of him in pain. Just as I'm about to straighten back up, he grabs me by the arm and pulls me to the floor. A scream escapes my lips as I fall next to him.
He rolls over so that's he's hovering over me, a devilish look in those damn blue eyes.
"Noah what the hell are you doing?" I try and push him off of me, but to my avail he doesn't budge.
"You provoked the tiger sweetheart. And this is payback." he smiles, holding my hands above my head. His hair brushes against his forehead, and he moves one hand away to brush it back. I take this as my chance to move, so I knee him once again in his crotch and his grip loosens on me. I push him off of me and I roll over on top of him so that I'm straddling him. His face is contorted into pain, but once he notices our current position, his mood lightens.
His hands shoot out, both resting on either side of my hips. My eyes widen by his actions, but he only smiles at me. His touch is leaving a searing feeling going all through my body.
He raises up so that we're face to face. He inches closer, and I try and get up, but his grip on my hips holds me to him. I stop struggling and look at him.
"Noah stop," I stutter, not really wanting him to. I may not be willing to take notice in it, but I feel something for him. I need to be careful, but with him it's like that word doesn't exist.
"But why princess? We both know you don't want me to." He says, his eyes turning shades darker. He leans closer and closer, until we're nearly an inch apart from each other. One more inch. His eyes dart down to my lips and I see his Adam's Apple bob.
"Livie I heard a scream and I... oh dear lord!" Brooke says, entering my room but quickly covering her eyes, turning around.
I hop off of Noah and stand up, he does the same, standing beside of me.
"Brooke it wasn't what you think. I promise." I say, but I know she doesn't believe me. My face turns a crimson red, and I look over and notice little pink splotches on Noah's face.
"Um.. er okay. I'm just going to go." She says, sneaking a quick look at the both of us before walking towards her room.
I let out a shaky breath, wishing she hadn't walked in during that. She probably interpreted something that it wasn't.... yet.
I look over at Noah. He's staring at me, blue eyes boring into mine.
I'm sorry, that was my fault Liv," he admits, lowering his head in shame.
It wasn't only his fault. I could have stopped it if I wanted to, but that's the thing. I didn't.
"Hey," I say, grabbing his chin so that his stare is on me, "it was me too. Not just you. Brooke won't be mad. She'll probably love what she saw. So it's okay alright? I promise." I encourage him. He looks at me for a minute, before a smile spreads on his face.
"So.. before I go, can I get an answer on the jersey?" He asks and I laugh.
"I'll wear the dumb jersey tomorrow if you leave me alone." I smile. He hugs me, sending chills down my spine.
"Thanks princess. I'll pick you up tomorrow morning." He purrs, holding on just a little bit too long. I love how he says princess. They way it effects me isn't good.
He pulls away and walks towards the window. Before he gets there though, I grab his arm and spin him around to face me.
Before I can even think, I stand on my tip-toes and give him a kiss on the cheek.
"Thank you Noah." I say, stepping back down. He seems shocked at first, then a confused look crosses his face.
"For what?" He asks, his brows furrowing up in confusion.
"For just being here." I smile. His look lingers on me for a minute before he turns around, descending down the ladder and disappearing.
I can't deny it anymore. I'm falling for that boy hard. He's intoxicating... I can't get away from him. And I don't want to.
