Jeremiah
"Yee-haw girlie. You been riding any horses down there? Working the cattle? Milking cows?"
"Oh shut up. I'm in Houston, not Kansas you moron." Blue said rolling her eyes. I frowned. We were on Skype and she was giving me that look girls give you when they're annoyed. I know my sis is going through it right now but it's not like I sent the email. I can't help her. "No I haven't. All I've been doing is schoolwork and eating. I'm not allowed to do that much else."
"Damn." I said shaking my head. "I bet you regret being dumb now."
"Yes, thanks."
"Hey, I'm just saying. If you would've put that hurt aside and stayed away from your phone you wouldn't–"
"Anyways," Blue cut me off and held up her hand. "How's mommy?"
"How's mommy? Why don't you ask her yourself?" Blue rolled her eyes and I shook my head. "You gotta get your head outta your ass and stop being disrespectful B. You wanna ignore her calls but ask me how she's going when we talk. It don't work like that. You know you're hurting her by ignoring her, how do you think she's doing?"
"Forget it then." Blue mumbled. I just looked at her for a second.
"Nah, see, that's what's wrong with y'all. You, Bella and mommy all do it. Y'all always wanna avoid problems instead of dealing with them. All you gotta do is talk to mommy and work your issues out, but nah, you wanna act stubborn. It's stupid." I told her. Blue rolled her eyes again but I didn't care. That shit didn't bother me. She's just mad cause she knows it's true. "Tomorrow night you need to be calling mom instead of me. I'm not gonna keep updating you when all you have to do is pick up the phone Blue. Stop stressing our mom out when she already has enough going on. You got me?"
"Yes Jeremiah." Blue said. I nodded.
"Aight, I'm holding you to that." I said. "I'm only saying all this because I care, you know that right?"
"Yeah, yeah. I got it." Blue sighed. "I'll figure it out J. Thanks."
"No problem." I said nodding. I heard one of my cousins call Blue's name and laughed when she groaned loudly.
"I gotta go. I'll talk to you later." Blue said frowning.
I chuckled. "Alright. I love you. Remember what I said."
"Love you too and I will. Bye."
"Bye."
We hung up and I closed my MacBook. I checked the time on my phone and smiled when I saw it was only six-thirty. I still had a good five hours before I needed to head to sleep. Y'all already know what the fuck is going on.
"Desperate Housewives!" I said smiling to myself. I laid back on my bed and switched my tv to Netflix. This was my favorite pastime.
"Jeremiah!" I heard outta nowhere. I stretched my neck out to look at my door and frowned. Who the hell was interrupting my downtime? Probably one of the twins. Damn, ain't it past their bedtime?
"What!" I yelled back.
"Open the door!"
Yeah it's definitely one of the twins. I sighed and got up, walking across my room the open the damn door. I wasn't surprised when I saw Brooklyn standing there pouting, but I was disappointed.
