~Zander~
After Lexie left us I turned around to face Alex. "Pretty awesome party huh?" I asked, he shook his head. "I know I hate it too. Just come here." I laughed grabbing his wrist and dragging him through the crowd of people until we were out back.
I let go of his his wrist and sighed looking out across his back yard which was practically empty.
"Can I ask who you need to talk to again." Asked Alex.
"It's this guy named Landon. He was my b-" I stopped myself and glanced at Alex could I tell him my secret. Right now under the moon. I was saved from saying anymore on the subject.
"Zander?" Said a voice I recognized all to well. I turned and saw Landon's smiling face.
"Hey Landon. Lexie's making me talk to you so-"
"I know she told me. But this is a party it's supposed to be fun!" Said Landon.
"I was hoping to avoid parties this year." I told him. I heard Alex mumble a me too.
Landon tilted his head. "Who's your friend?" He asked smiling warmly.
"This is Alex." I said stepping to my side.
"Hi Alex it's nice to meet you." He smiled at Alex. "I'm Landon!"
"It's nice to meet you Landon." Said Alex.
"So are you and Zander..." He glanced at me and back to him "Friends?" He said.
"Yeah we are friends he's my roommate actually." I said, it came out kind of cold.
"Oh what are you majoring in?" He asked.
"English." Said Alex smiling.
"Landon I really need to talk to you." I said. I felt a bit of jealously, but how could I be jealous of something i didn't even have. Landon was just naturally charismatic. Sometimes I felt like that wasn't fair. He was also good looking. He had brown hair and beautiful hazel eyes. He had a smile that used to make me swoon.
"Yeah Zander lets go talk." He finally said.
"Go enjoy the party." I told Alex he looked at me. "Or go hide in the car." I handed him the key and winked.
I walked over to Landon who was sitting on a bench near a pond in his yard. Landon loved nature as well. He was majoring in photography and loved taking pictures of nature. He also wanted to preserve nature and said stuff about natural beauty and whatever.
I sat down next to him. "Hey." I said looking down making my hair fall over my face.
"Can I ask you something?" Asked Landon gazing out at the pond. "Would you... Would you do it all again if you knew how it was going to end?" He asked turning towards me.
"I would." I said smiling. "I loved you so much Landon. I'm sorry it has to be like this." I said.
"Nothing will change fate." He said softly smiling at me.
"Look I'm sorry I-"
"Don't be sorry. It needed to happen."
"But it's all my fault that we had to break up." I said.
"Nah. We just grew apart." He laughed.
I exhaled deeply and shook my head "No it's my fault and I'm sorry."
"Please don't be I've moved on. You should too." Then he said softly "Move on with Alex."
"What?" I felt my face burn red.
"Oh please it's so obvious that you like him." Said Landon laughing.
"Y-yeah so maybe I do. There's just one problem." I said.
"You haven't told him you're gay." He said looking at me. I hung my head in shame. "I'm going to help you."
"Why?" I snorted flipping my hair out of my face.
"Because Zander, that's what friends do. And we, of course, are friends." He smiled at me.
I just smiled back.
