"It's to quiet without Lexie." Commented Landon on the way home from Utah. This time Alex was driving and I was sitting up front.

"I know... I hope she's having fun." I said. I looked out the window and sighed.

"She is." Landon laughed. "She just met her hot new fiancée, as she would say."

"True." I smiled back at him laughing.

"Thanks for letting us use your range rover Alex." Said Landon.

"Well we kinda had to. Lexie's car was to small and you're driving a Cavalier from ten years ago." I said to Landon laughing.

Alex rolled his eyes. "It was no problem." He smiled. "It was fun."

"It was fun, except for the boat." Said Asher laughing.

"Oh shut up you know you liked the boat." Said Landon, Asher just rolled his eyes.

"So what are we doing once we get back to New Jersey?" I asked. I looked out the window. We passed the 'welcome to Missouri' sign and I was hopefully Missouri was more interesting to drive through than Kansas.

"I'm going to go to sleep." Said Landon. "I haven't slept good this whole time." He laughed.

"I want to do that too." I said smiling. I looked over at Alex. "Are we going to look at houses when we get back?"

"Yeah, we probably should soon anyways." He said smiling. "Bet let's just focus on getting home now." He laughed.

Once we got back to Landon's house we slept. Alex and I slept up in the spare bedroom. After sleeping for a long time Landon informed us that we couldn't stay at his house forever. Alex and I got in Lexie's old car and drove it to the coffee shop.

"We need to look for a house." I said as Alex drank his chai tea latte. "Maybe we should just drive around and look." I suggested.

"We probably should, or Landon will kick us out." Said Alex.

"He'd just have us start paying rent." I shrugged. "Which isn't so bad but, just between me and you, I don't want to live with Landon, it brings back..." I stopped myself short and just shrugged.

Alex scowled slighted at me. "The sooner the better." He said dryly.

I laughed nervously. "Okay let's go now." I said standing up and walking out to my car. I couldn't believe that it was my car! Lexie was so nice for giving me it, I wondered how she was doing in Russia.

Alex and I got in the car. "So are we just going to drive around and look for a house?"

"Yeah, probably somewhere close to the college. Maybe near the shore." I said starting the car. I started driving toward the college and the shoreline. "Your birthday is so soon."

"Yeah." Said Alex smiling.

"Aren't you excited to be nineteen?" I asked laughing.

"I'm guessing it will be the same as being eighteen." He laughed and looked out the window. "Let's go look down at those condos." I drove down towards the condos. I guess they were a new development, or I had never noticed them.

"These are nice." I said as we drove through the neighborhoods. They were each connected in groups of three. We found a few and got papers for them, then we headed back to Landon's to look them over.

We spread them out on Landon's table and looked over them. They all had two bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms. "I like this one." Said Alex holding up the papers. The master bedroom was right off the living room and the kitchen was behind that, upstairs was the room and a bathroom.

"No, it's better if the master bedroom is upstairs." I said. I held up another one where the master bedroom was upstairs and the other one downstairs.

"True..." He said. "How about this one?" There was a hallway with the bedroom off to the left a garage to the right. The living room was at the end of the hall way connected to the kitchen with the half bath off to the side. The full bath and master bedroom was upstairs.

"That looks great! We should call to see if we can go see the inside." I said smiling.

Alex nodded and stood up. "I'll call." He said taking the paper and walking out front. I took the other papers and stuffed them in the trash can right as Landon walked downstairs.

"Did you guys not find anything?" Asked Landon. Landon liked to walk around shirtless and only in sweats because I think he wanted me to stare at him and for Alex to get mad at me. That only admittedly happened once though.

"No, I think we found a perfect one." I said smiling. "Alex is calling about it now."

Alex came back inside. "They're sending a realtor out now so we can go see it! I'm so excited." He said smiling.

"I would invite you and Asher to come, but you're half naked." I said to Landon laughing. He just rolled his eyes and went back upstairs.

When we got to the house and looked around. The house was just as good as the pictures looked, except it was in the middle of the three connected houses. We still loved it, it was a nice house. Alex and I both knew at the same time. I looked at him and smiled. "This is the place."
