Chapter Eighteen

~Lexie~

A few weeks after Alex and Zander broke up and a couple nights of Zander coming over to sleep in my dorm, which worked out perfectly because Amy had been gone for the past three months, I was sitting on my bed scrolling through Instagram.

I came across a picture of Zander with a boy, but it wasn't just any picture the boy Zander was with was about two inches shorter than him with caramel hair. His face was sprinkled with freckles across the arch of his nose and his cheeks. My jaw dropped open, the boy was smiling at the camera, head tilted, a light blush across his freckled cheeks, and Zander was kissing his cheek.

I just stared at it, the caption read, "Hangin' with the bae." With a bunch of hearts after it. I quickly called Zander. It rang once then went straight to voice mail. I started pacing around my room when I got a text from Zander saying, "I'm on a date I'll call you later."

I quickly I quickly ran across the dorm hallways until I got to Alex and Zander's room, pounding on the door. Alex answered, "You know Zander has a boyfriend right?" I asked him.

"Yeah you mean Andy. He seems nice." Said Alex calmly.

"Don't you still love him?" I asked.

Alex sighed, "Just between you and me I do, okay? I do love him, but I don't trust him. You should've seen they way they were kissing and I don't even blame Landon. I can't explain it, you would just have to see it for yourself."

"Okay." I said I simply agreed with him.

"Do you need something, because I'm working on some homework." He said.

I shook my head and left quietly. I walked outside in the cool air. It was about halfway through March and the temperature was slowly starting to rise. I walked to my car getting in it and driving to Landon's house. I knocked on the door of the large house and then Landon opened the door, hiding his body behind it so I could only see his head. "This isn't a good time Lexie." He said, "What do you want?"

I chuckled, "Chill it's probably nothing I haven't seen before." But I was wrong. Asher was sitting on the couch covering himself with a blanket, his face bright red, but you could clearly see he was naked. "Oh um... Never Mind." I said laughing awkwardly and walking back out on the front porch.

"Don't tell anyone." Said Landon. I nodded.

"Promise?"

"I promise." I said zipping my lips and pretending to throw away the key, he nodded and shut the door. I walked back to my car. "My friends are so gay." I said laughing as I drove away.

I was reading a book later that night when there was a knock on my door, it was Zander with his boyfriend.

"I thought you'd want to meet Andy." He said smiling, it was the boy from the picture. "Andy this is Lexie." He said smiling.

"It's nice to meet you." Said Andy smiling. Andy was even shorter in person, even I was taller than him.

"Same, Zander can I talk to you?" I asked.

Zander nodded and then Andy said, "I have to go anyways, talk to you tomorrow Zander, and it was nice to meet you Lexie." He said, Zander gave him a quick kiss on the lips before I pulled him inside my dorm and shut the door.

"You're an idiot." I said scowling at him.

"Why?" He asked sitting on Amy's bed looking at me.

"Alex loves you."

"He shouldn't have broken up with me then." He said standing up and walking to the door, "Besides I love Andy." He said walking out.

"You're making a mistake." I called to him as he shut the door. I sighed softly and laid on my bed, why are my friends so complicated.
