~Lexie~
I woke up and jumped out of bed. It was finally fall break and Thanksgiving was near. I glanced at the leaves outside that we're falling from the trees in an array of colors.
I quickly pulled on some clothes and pulled my hair back into a ponytail.
I looked over at Amy who was still asleep in her bed. I quickly grabbed a cup of cold water and let it drip on her bed slowly soaking the sheets.
I walked out he door smiling and I shut the door behind me. "Happy thanksgiving." I chuckled as I walked up a floor to Alex and Zander's room.
I knocked on the door and got greeted by a sleepy Zander. "Are you ready for Thanksgiving?" He asked as I walked in.
"Of course." I laughed.
"You always are." Said Zander pulling on a shirt. I glanced over at Alex and noticed he was staring. Yes he's defiantly gay. "Are you sure you still want to go to Detroit?" He asked Alex.
"It would be really sweet if you did!" I added.
"Sure... I really don't see why not." Alex smiled softly.
"We'll let you get dressed." I said grabbing Zander and pulling him out into the hall.
When we got out there I looked at him. Arms crossed foot tapping. I raised my eyebrows.
"What?" He asked.
"He's gay you idiot!" I said.
He laughed "If only life worked out like that."
"It does." I pointed out. He shrugged as Alex walked out of the room.
"Come on let's go!" I said excitedly, Thanksgiving was best holiday ever.

I made Zander sit in the back with Alex. "Only six more hours." I said.
"It takes nine hours to get to Detroit." Zander explained.
"We're still in Pennsylvania." I sighed happily. "I can't wait for thanksgiving. Turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce. The only thing that would make it better was of my brother was out of jail."
"You should tell Alex about your family." Said Zander.
"It's pretty long." I said.
"I have six hours." Alex laughed and so did we.
"Okay so my mom was married to my dad, the one that died of breast cancer, and I have a brother his name is Luke. Luke wasn't a very good kid, he stole and threatened people. He thought that the only was to make it was stealing. My parents had had enough and tried to get him to stop but it didn't work. Then on day he was caught. A couple days after my dad died. I was only fourteen, he was fifteen. But he got arrested never the less. After he left it was just me and my mom. My mom said I needed a dad so she married George. George is a Hispanic man who insists I call him papa... he's alright I guess. He wanted me to learn Spanish but I held onto learning Russian. But anyways he wanted kids so I have three little sisters named Rose, Genna and Sandra. I don't like them because they aren't my true family they're just there. That's pretty much it." I smiled.
"How old are your sisters?" Asked Alex.
"Rose is one, Genna is three and Sandra is five." I sighed.
We drove in silence for a few minutes. Driving through Pennsylvania was boring. I smiled as I saw us coming up on a sign "Welcome to Ohio boys." I laughed.

I pulled into my uneven driveway of my house at about six. I jumped out of ol' red and smiled. Zander and Alex were not far behind.
I looked up at my house it was made of a dark brown rock like thing that felt very fake. The color had faded but it still looked the same as when I was last here.
I turned and looked at Zander's house which was right next door. It looked similar to mine. I smiled, I had missed this place.
"I'm gonna go say hi to my parents. Alex want to come?" Asked Zander. Alex nodded and I told them I'd meet up with then later.
I walked up to the porch of my house. For as long as I could remember my family always had a combined thanksgiving with Zander's. I walked inside "I'm home!!!" I yelled. I was greeted by the trio of trouble. My 'sisters' smothered me in hugs.
My mom can around from inside the kitchen and gave me a hug, followed by George. That's when I realized something wasn't right. I walked into the kitchen.
There sitting at the kitchen table was George's parents. I held back a gasp because this only meant one thing. No combined Thanksgiving with Zander's family.
"Lexie would you say hello to your grandparents? Oh and dear we lent them your room so maybe you can sleep at Zander's for the next few nights." I felt anger boil inside me.
She was trying to be all like oh and by the way dear... But I could see she didn't really care.
"Maybe I'll just go live at Zander's." I said angrily then stomped right out the front door and into Ol' Red. Locking the doors jumping in the backseat hiding my face as tears welled up in my eyes.
My family didn't even care enough to look for me. They didn't even care enough to leave me a room. This Thanksgiving was officially ruined.
