Chapter Twenty Five

Waking up to crisp fresh air in the mountains was probably already one of the best feelings in the world. Waking up to crisp fresh air in the mountains with your boyfriend next to you just made it better. I sighed happily as I rolled over on to my back staring at the top of the tent. We had spent the last three days on the boat, just relaxing and enjoying the summer. We had been here for a week and we were all a bit closer to eachother.

Alex stirred awake next to me. "Hey sleeping beauty." I said laughing softly as he yawned.

"Oh please, I bet you just got up." He said. His voice was still full of sleep.

"I guess I did." I said laughing. We sat in science for a few minutes. "Don't fall back a sleep again." I said laughing.

"Do you remember when you thought the moon was a star?" He asked me laughing. "You were like half asleep, after we watched Forrest Gump in Detroit." He said.

"I don't doubt it." I laughed. "Do you remember when Lexie and I would always talk in Chinese around you?" He asked.

"Yeah and you were always talking about me." He laughed and sat up looking at me. "I took three years of Mandarin in Highschool." He said laughing.

"You never told me." I said laughing. I pulled him down on top of me giving him a kiss. Lexie then opened the tent flap.

"Are you two up? Or- oh my god! You shouldn't have sex in a tent." She said laughing. I rolled my eyes. "I'm just kidding, I know you two aren't that trashy, but we're leaving soon so you guys should get dressed and pack up." She smiled and shut the tent flap.

"I guess we better get up and pack." I said smiling at Alex. He smiled and nodded.

An hour later we were sitting in Alex's Range Rover with Landon driving us back to his cabin. "Did you have fun?" I asked Lexie as we were driving.

"Da conrad." She said then burst out into laughter. "It's been awhile since we used that one." She said. I had a feeling that inside joke wouldn't die out soon.

"What was your favorite part of the year?" Asked Alex.

"I liked throwing all the parties I through." Said Landon laughing from the front seat.

"I liked meeting Connor even though I thought he got me pregnant, he was great." Said Lexie laughing.

"I liked just meeting you guys." Said Asher laughing. "And getting kicked out of my frat house."

"I like meeting you guys too." Said Alex smiling. "What about you Zander."

"It's to hard to just pick one time." I shrugged. "I like going to Detroit." Said Zander laughing.

"Oh yeah that was so fun!" Said Lexie. We pulled up to Landon's cabin and all piled out of the car unpacking everything.

The first thing we did was take showers and wash the clothes. It took a while but eventually we were all sitting in the living room drinking lemonade. The Fourth of July was in two days, where had the summer gone? Lexie was leaving in a month and then it was back to New Jersey.

"Aren't you excited for the Fourth of July?" Asked Landon. We all nodded and drank our lemonade. We were all tired and at about nine I decided I was ready for bed. I was happy just to lay on a bed. About an hour later Alex came in and laid down next to me.

"Are you asleep?" He asked.

"No." I laughed and smiled at him.

"Did you have fun?" He asked me laughing.

"Yeah." I smiled. "What do you want to do when we get back to New Jersey?" I asked him.

"I want to buy a house for us to live in." Said Alex smiling. "That would be cool."

"It would be really cool." I said. "We need to look at houses when we get back." I said closing my eyes. "I love you."

"I love you too." He said turing off the lamp. I closed my eyes and drifted off to dream land.

The Fourth of July came and went. It was the twentieth before we knew it. Lexie was leaving in fifteen days. All we had been doing is watching movies and eating pie. Landon made the best pies. Lexie had been getting her stuff together as well.

"I'm scared." She said as she looked at her passport in her hand.

"Don't worry you'll love Russia." I said smiling. I looked out the window at the mountains. It was sad to think that in a couple of weeks they'd be out of veiw.

"I hope so." Said Lexie. She dug through her suit case and pulled out a key. "I wanted to give you my car, seeing how I won't be needing it anymore." She said handing me the key.

I grinned. "Than you so much!" I said giving her a hug. It was after all my first real car.

"You're welcome." She said hugging me back. "Have fun with it." She said as she went back to going through her suitcase.

Landon walked in the room eating a piece of cherry pie. "Have you guys seen Asher?" He asked. We shook our heads. "He's been gone all afternoon." Said Landon he then shrugged and sat down next to me on the couch.

"Maybe he's taking a hike." Suggested Lexie. There were a lot of trails around here.

"Or maybe he went with Alex down to the mall." I said shrugging. "I could call him and ask."

"No it's fine I just realized I hadn't really seen him today." Said Landon taking another bite of pie. Landon ate so much junk food but he still looked skinny and fit, I just didn't understand.

Just then the back door opened and in walked Asher. He was dripping wet and basically caked in mud but he was still standing there. "I fell in a river and then tripped in a puddle." Said Asher.

"Are you okay?" Asked Landon walking over to him.

"I'm fine, just dirty and tired. I was just hiking and I wasn't laying attention to where I was going." He said.

"We have to spray you off with the hose outside because there's no way in hell all that mud is getting in the shower drain." Said Landon setting down his pie on an end table. "Come on let's go." He said leading Asher back outside.

Lexie laughed once they were gone. "I'm going to miss them." She said smiling.

"They're going to miss you too." I said with certainty. I knew we would all miss Lexie. It would be hard without her.
