The Order of the Phoenix

Violet's P.O.V. 

It had been a month since Voldemort had come back. Severus had been leaving the house a lot for Death Eater meetings. I still couldn't believe that he had never told me that he was a spy for Dumbledore. He risked his life every time he went to meet Voldemort. He was very brave. Every time he left, I would pace until he came back. Severus told me that I was going to make a dent in the floor if I didn't stop doing it. Loki and I hadn't seen each other since the end of term and I kind of missed him. It had been nice having another friend, but I couldn't help wishing that I had a friend who was my own gender. 

I woke up with Severus holding me. I had been having nightmares about Severus getting killed a lot lately, so I had been spending the nights with him. Severus was awake.

"Good morning." He said when he realized that I was awake.

"Good morning." I replied. "I hope you don't have to leave today."

"I cannot control when I leave." Severus replied. "But I wish I could." 

Severus and I just laid there talking for another two hours until there was a tapping noise on the window. Severus and I looked up to see an owl with a letter attatched. Severus got up and let the owl in. He untied the letter from the owl's leg and then the owl left. 

"It's from Dumbledore." Severus said. "He said that he wants us to come to Hogwarts today."

"Why?" I asked. "The term doesn't start until September." 

"I don't know." Severus said. "We should probably get ready."

I took a shower and got dressed and Severus did the same. When we were done getting ready, Severus wrapped his arms around me and apparated us to Hogsmede. We walked to Hogwarts and went into the castle. We heard voices coming from the Great Hall. When we went in, I saw about 50 witches and wizards sitting in the Great Hall. I reconized Remus and Sirius, but no one else. There was a young girl (about my age) sitting with Remus and Sirius. I looked up at Severus and saw that he looked very uncomfortable.

"Are you alright?" I asked.

"No, but I will be." Severus said. 

I sat in between the girl and Severus. The girl turned and smiled at me.

"Hi. I'm Nymphadora." She said. "But don't call me that. Call me Tonks." 

"I'm Violet." I said. "Do you know Remus and Sirius?"

"Sirius and I are cousins." Tonks said. "And he introduced me to Remus. Are you and Severus Snape friends?"

"Oh yeah." I laughed. "We're BFFs."

Tonks and I cracked up laughing. When we had finished, we were getting some odd looks from Severus, Remus, and Sirius. It was taking all my willpower not to laugh at the look on Severus's face.

"Um, Vi, are you okay?" He asked.

"I'm fine." I said, wiping tears of laughter out of my eyes. I turned back to Tonks. "So, do you have a boyfriend?"

"No. But I've got my eye on someone." Tonks said.

"Who?" I asked. Tonks leaned in my ear.

"Remus." She whispered. 

"Really?" I asked.

"Yeah, I know it's disgusting since he's 10 years older than me." Tonks said. 

"No, Severus and I are together and he's ten years older than me." I said.

"Wow. I never thought that he would get a girlfriend." Tonks said. 

"Well, he did. And I love him with all my heart." I said.
