Woke up because of a knock on the door and I thought I slept in and would be late for work but it was actually 5am. Went to open the door and was ready to shout at whoever was waking me up so early on work day. Only that when I opened it...

-Surprise! I think you don't mind me waking you. And thought you would like to see a friendly face.

Was Viv. Surprises are usually fantastic but now came at extremely inappropriate moment. Wanted to believe it was just some oddly reality like dream but then she pushed me away and got inside.

-Cat got your tongue?
-Actually I'm extremely surprised. I don't know what to say.

I knew exactly what to say: "If he wouldn't have panicked last night you'd have probably found me in bed with Colin Firth right now." But couldn't as she would be shocked and I had to tell her in another manner I didn't yet figure out.

-I told you I'd try to get at least a week off work and I did. I'm going to stay for the whole week. We can visit places together as we wanted.
-The whole week? That's fantastic! You're gonna stay here, right?
-You mean this hotel? Obviously..
-No, I mean my room. Come on! It would be better if we share the room.
-I guess you're right. We'll have so much fun.
-Only that I still have work.. What would you do in the meantime?
-Explore?
-You should visit places. I already did so this weekend. But still got many others to visit.
-Good idea. Make a list of what you saw and the rest we can go see together.
-But today I'd like you to come with me at work. Jack and Jen can't wait to meet you.
-Okay.. Do you mind if I take a shower? The flight was a bit tiring so early in the morning and I need to freshen up.
-Sure, go ahead!

A few seconds later there's another knock on the door. This time a less desperate one though.

-Good morning!

Was Colin. And after saying that he leaned forward to kiss me.

-Good morning? Hah, it isn't good at all! Let's go out in the hallway.. Please.
-What's the matter?
-My best friend is here. She came to stay the whole week and is now also my roommate.
-And you didn't tell her anything about us..

The way he said "us" have melted my heart. But I had to hold composure as Viv was still there and would be even bigger shock to see me kissing our idol.

-If you need help with that.. We can go inside and tell her together.
-Absolutely out of the question! She's a fan of yours too as much as I am. And that'd be a shock.. I don't know how to tell her.
-That's why you need help. Come on! Then we can go have breakfast and I'll drive you to work. We have to thank Jack too.. For everything.
-Right. The part about thanking Jack I mean. Not the other as I can't do that right now.
-Maybe you can't but I can.

And so he entered the room but luckily enough Viv was still in the shower.

-You said she was here..

We were speaking in lower voice.

-She's taking a shower.
Alright, if you really want to do this then do it properly, would you?
-What do you mean?
-Get out in the hallway and I'll call you when she gets out. So we'll pretend you called to tell me you arrived. And after the call wait 10 minutes by the door until I tell her who called.
-You didn't know how to tell her anything but you could come with some elaborate plan now?
-It's not elaborate. Now go!

And so he did. Everything worked according to my crazy, not-so-elaborate plan.

-Who called you this time? You seem pretty busy today. Maybe I should stay here.
-Nonsense. That was actually my.. Boyfriend.
-What? You got a boyfriend in a week and he's already coming around in the morning? That doesn't sound like you at all.
-Actually, it's been 3 days..or 2 as Friday can't count much because we only met for like 10 minutes. And nothing of it is usual at all.
Also I didn't know how to tell you about it but now he's here and.. Well tell you together.
