Woke up in the morning expecting to find myself in my hotel room and was a bit confused to see totally unfamiliar bedroom. But the flashes of last night came into my mind and I tried to raise gently not to wake Colin up. Only that bed was empty except for me. Did he panick again and took off?
Got up and spotted a robe lying on an armchair so I put it on and went out on the balcony. Was a warm, sunny morning. I started to think of last night again almost unable to believe that actually happened and how lucky I was.

-Good morning!

Felt those now-familiar arms around my waist, gently undoing the robe. Then up on my shoulders, sliding down the robe a little bit, with same gentle touches as last night only a bit more confident. And a light kiss on my shoulder. I turned to meet Colin's deep, calm, beautiful brown eyes.

-Morning!
-You look good in my robe. You should keep it.
-Oh.. Thank you. I'd rather wear it when I come over.
Did you.. Sleep well?
-Yes. You?
-Like a baby.

Then I heard my phone ringing but tried to ignore it.

-That must be Viv. She's probably about to report you missing. So better take that.
***
-Good morning! I said joyful into the phone.
-By the way you sound I bet it is a fantastic morning. Or was it a fantastic night?
-I accept no challenge whatsoever so early in the morning. Especially THIS morning. Can't you just wait?
-I'm dying for details. Will go to meet Jen and Jack for breakfast. I suppose you won't come, would you?
-Don't know. Wait a second.

Putting a hand on the phone's speaker I hissed in Colin's direction..

-Care for a breakfast with the crew?
-Why not having breakfast here? I don't feel like having 3 pairs of inquisitory eyes upon me now.
-Okay.

Then back into the phone..

-Lovely offer, but I'll pass it this time. See you later!
-Jack said you better come to work. You still know the way to the parliament, right?
-Byeee! I said in an half annoyed half amused tone.

Breakfast was lovely. Not the food as I didn't care much about it, but the fact that we were sitting there together as if had longterm relationship. And he was glancing at me with a shy, pure, lovely look in his eyes. He told me to get up because I would be late for work and I gave him a sad look. He took me in his arms, hugging me tight and whispering "We could see each other again tonight." But I wanted to stay there all day, in his arms.
Knowing I couldn't and that I still owed Jack some thanks about everything I asked him to come to work with me. Said and done. Only that his phone rung in the car and "Lawyer" popped up on the screen.

-Good morning, Mr. Firth! I know this would sound like rushing things but we can arrange a court meeting for tomorrow.
-Can't we do it next week?
-Afraid not. I'll be busy for the next couple of weeks and tomorrow is the only day I can do it and judge is free too. It won't take long anyway. Is a formality, because of your kids.
-Does Livia know about this?
-I just got off the phone with her lawyer. I'm waiting for a confirmation call but wanted to get yours first.
-Alright. If you say it's the only possibility. At what time?
-Late morning, judge is not keen on morning meetings. Barely agreed on 11 o'clock.
-I think that'll work. Just.. Call me back when you speak to Livia's lawyer again. Okay?
-Sure, Mr. Firth. Will do.
-Thank you!

I glanced at him nervously. He was awfully quiet, obviously with his mind somewhere else.
I rested my hand on his tight as to say "It's alright." And also to make him focus.

-I want to come to the meeting.
-But you have work.
-I'll take a sick leave for the day. Jack will understand. He already knows these things. And he can be trusted.
-Is not that I don't trust him. Any friend of yours is a friend of mine. It's just that.. You don't have to risk your job for me.
-But I want to be there for you. Moral support. As you've been for me.
-Alright. We'll talk about later. First we shall wait for the lawyer to call again.
