I grunted and plopped myself on the couch, turning the tv on. A few minutes later Joji came back in and looked at me.

"You didn't get your cereal?"

"I couldn't reach the bowl."

"You stood and sat on the counter yesterday."

"Fuzzy socks!" I held my foot in the air.

"Come here." He let go of Akeila.

"What? No." I frowned.

"I- Fine." He walked over and picked me up into his arms, carrying me to the kitchen.

"What're you doing?!"

"Get your bowl."

"I can't reach it." I hissed.

"I struggled putting them up there. So," he wrapped his arms around my thighs and lifted me off the ground. "Get the bowl. Get two."

I grabbed two bowls and brought them back down. He smiled and grabbed some cereal, pouring it in his bowl, then going to the fridge.

"Dammit. No milk." He grabbed water.

"Don't you dare put water in the cereal. I'll just go to the store and get some for us. Or we can go on a little date."

"Can we wear our pajamas?"

"Yeah. I usually wear sweatpants, cropped tops, sunglasses, and caps."

"Then a date it is!" He grabbed my keys and walked out. I made sure the doggy door was open and walked after him.

He leaned on the hood of the car and tossed the keys to me. I caught them in one hand and tossed them back, getting in the passenger seat.

"Y/n. I'm not driving."

"Yes you are. The male drives the female places."

"I haven't been in a relationship since high school. I didn't drive back then."

"Joji just drive." I smiled.

"Fine." He looked at me and tried to act grumpy, but he broke and smiled at me, slightly giggling.

After we ate, we went to target. I was wearing a black hoodie, black sweatpants, a black cap, and some black circle sunglasses.

"Y/n take the glasses off. You look so damn sketchy."

"No I don't." I passed a mirror. "I look like one of the three blind mice from Shrek."

"Oh my god." He grabbed my shoulders and pulled the cap and glasses off, causing me to wince slightly.

"God. It's so bright." A worker passed by, looking at me. "Scuse me ma'am, can you dim the lights?" She gave me a dirty look and walked off, although she did look at Joji and bite her lip. I got a slight pain, most likely jealousy, in the pit of my stomach.

"Ooh. I think she likes me." He teased, obviously seeing my discomfort.

"Shut up." I grumbled and stomped into the milk aisle.

Soon after we had everything we wanted, we got back in the car and headed home. Joji was in the passenger side, connecting his Bluetooth. He put on something with Japanese. I understood it because I took a class on it, back in college. I heard him hum along as if he didn't want me to hear him singing. The words seemed flow to me, calming me down instantly, and making me less tense.
