Luke's P.O.V

It was nice to talk to Ashton about this situation. I just hope that he goes back to being comfortable with me again. It just sucked not having him talk to me all the time because I can only take so much of Michael, and Ashton is funny, energetic, unique? I don't know, he's just a fun person, and it's a good thing that he's friends with Michael because he just sucks and he should have an interesting person in his life; that person is Ashton.

When I got home I wasn't met by my mom, but my idiot brother.

"Where were you?" He asked and I just rolled my eyes.

"Aren't you supposed to be in your room?" I asked, walking into the kitchen to see if Mom was there.

"Mom's not home."

"Why?"

"How the fuck should I know?"

"Well, you were home."

"Well, she didn't tell me where she was going, nor do I care, since she grounded me for no reason!"

"You stole your friends' wallets," I said. Michael can be so dull at times.

"I still don't see what the big deal is." Maybe mom doesn't want you to become a criminal?

"Whatever," I said, rolling my eyes.

"Enough about me, where were you?"

"Does it even matter?"

"Well, since you're asking me questions, I should ask you questions."

"Fine, I was with Calum."

"How do I know you're telling the truth?" Shit, how does he know that I'm lying? Wait, Michael's dumb so it's easy to lie to him.

"Do I need to like, take a selfie or something to prove that I'm with Calum, who's my friend?"

"I guess not, but were you at Ashton's?"

"What makes you think that?" I asked, how does he know that I was at Ashton's?

"Well, his wallet isn't in the kitchen so I just assumed."

"Well, if you really want to know, then yes, I was at Ashton's before I went over to Calum's so I could give him his wallet back."

"Why did you just take Ash's and not my other friends'?" God, why can he just drop the fucking subject?

"Because I don't know where they all live because I thought Ashton was your only friend since you're an asshole." Some people think that I'm being a dick when I say things like that to my brother, but we always make fun of each other; it's just something we do.

"Ha ha, very funny," Michael said sarcastically before heading to his room because Mom's car pulled into the driveway. I waited a few moments before my mom walked in through the door and smiled at me.

"Hey, honey," she said, leaving a kiss on my cheek.

"Hi, mom," I mumbled.

"Where did you go before?" She asked since she's your typical mother; always needing to know where you are at all times.

"I went to Ashton's." Yeah, I know I lied to Michael, but it's different lying to your own mother. Lying to your sibling is something you always do and don't feel guilty about it because you know that if you told them the truth, they'd just make fun of you. But lying to your parents, mostly your mom is a hard thing to do because, in my case, I love my mom and I know she'll be very upset that I didn't tell her the truth; making her believe that I don't trust her, when in all reality, I do very much so.

"Is there a certain reason why you went to his? I thought he was Michael's friend."

"Because first, I wanted to give him his wallet back, and secondly, I just wanted to talk to him.

"Talk to him about what?"

"Well, a few weeks ago when he was over, he was making popcorn for him and Michael, and I kinda scared him, so I helped him clean it up. Ever since; he's been acting weird towards me," I explained as I watched my mom nod her head in thought.

"Do you think Ashton has a crush on you?" I couldn't help but laugh at what she said. "What's so funny?"

"I'm sorry, but Ashton having a crush on me? That's hilarious," I said between laughs. "He's also straight! How can he have a crush on me?"

"Well, it makes sense to me," my mom said with a shrug. "For the years that I've known him, he's never had a girlfriend, nor does he talk about any girl that he likes, unlike Michael, who can't stop talking about girls to Ashton, who doesn't seem interested or comfortable about the topic. Plus, whenever he's over for dinner, he always has his eyes on you; I'm surprised that you haven't noticed because it's a little creepy, but in a cute way."

Wow, my mom has a lot to say about that. Does Ashton really do all of those things? Am I that oblivious?

"Well," my mom said. "I'm going to watch some of my shows, and then I'll be making dinner in an hour," she finished before leaving me alone with my thoughts.

When I think about it, he does act like those girls that I went to school with, the ones that'll swoon if I breathe the same air as them. Plus, he always seems to blush whenever I talk to him or compliment him on the smallest of things; like a certain song he's listening to.

Could Ashton actually be gay? Could he have a crush on me? Should I ask him about it? But that would be awkward for the both of us. Wait, that'll also mean Ashton lied to me today, which makes sense because he was all flustered.

The next thing I know I'm walking up to Michael's door and opened it without knocking.

"What the fuck do you want?" He asks.

"I need to ask you something."

"Okay, what?

"Is Ashton gay?"
