Chapter 23

Ashton's P.O.V

As we made our way into my house, I can feel tension coming from Calum, and it's honestly making me nervous.

When we made it to my room, the first thing we did was go to my bed, but I didn't waste time in what I wanted to ask.

"Calum, are you okay?"

"Yeah, what made you ask that?" Calum answered.

"You've been giving off this weird vibe since we were in the car. Are you still mad about before?" I asked and Calum just rubbed the back of his head, and instead of looking at me, he just looked down at his hands.

"Yeah, not at you. This entire thing is just one confusing mess." He answered, and I nodded.

"Yeah. I guess we all learned something new today."

There was then a small moment of silence between us, but that was broken by Calum.

"Okay, I don't know how you're going to react to this question but, do you still have feelings for Luke?" My eyes widened once I heard Calum's question.

"Do I still have feelings for Luke?" I repeated, making sure I heard correctly, and sadly, I did when I saw Calum nodding.

I sighed, I know that I hate Luke for what he has done to me, but there is still a part of me that still has feelings for him, but I don't know who I like more. Him and Calum.

"I'm going to be completely honest here." I started, "Even though I hate Luke for what he has done to me, there is still a piece of me that still has strong feelings for him." When I looked at Calum, I wished I haven't because he looks like he has been to hell and back and got his heart broken for the hundredth time.

"Who do you like more?" Calum then asked. There is no way in hell Calum is asking that. My answer to that will probably just hurt him a lot more, but I need to be honest.

"I'm not actually sure."

"What do you mean?" Calum asked, cutting me off like he really needs to know the answer.

"I have strong feelings for you and Luke, I don't know who I have more feelings towards." Right after I said that Calum just rolled himself off my bed and made his way to the door. "Where are you going?" I asked.

"I'm not mad at you." He said, "This entire night has been crazy and now I don't know if my own boyfriend has more feelings for me or for..him." The fact that Calum can't even say Luke's name broke my heart, but there's nothing I can do about it now. "And I know you can't help how you feel, so I think I'm just going to leave and try to clear my head." I nodded, knowing that there is no way I can stop him now.

So Calum left. He left without saying goodbye, and without giving me a goodbye kiss.

This entire night has gone from bad to worse within an hour.
