Size Matters

Chapter 3- Classroom

Yaaaay! I'm like so excited. Today our whole class is going to go on a field trip to Splashin Flash Waterpark. Today will also be the day I try to set Justin up with Jenny. It wont be easy but only if he keeps his side of the deal and try to set me up with Luther. Gosh I can't wait!

I do all the necessary touchups to make myself look irresistible to Luther. I even apply a new lipgloss I got from the drugstore down the street. Today's going to be great.

Skipping all the way to the classroom-

I enter the classroom and walk up to my two best friends Jenny (as mentioned earlier) and Rebecca. Rebecca is like the total opposite of Jenny. She's just as short but confident, attentive, rude at times, and the most loyal friend anyone could ever have.

She's always helping me out when I need her the most.

"Ebony its about time you got here. Me, Jenny, and Darling have been waiting forever for you."

Did I mention she's also dramatic? Oh yeah and when she said "Darling" she was referring to her pretty boy boyfriend, Chase. They were perfect for each other but sometimes they got a little too lovey dovey for my liking.

Wait. Where the hell is Justin? Or Luther? Gosh I hope he shows up. He the whole reason why I'm so excited.

I hear chuckling and giggles from my left. I turn and look at the door and I see Justin. Not just plain old Justin. Spiked up haired Justin from way too much hair gel. And oh my god he looks hilarious.

As he nears me I can't control my fit of laughter. I hobble over my desk trying to catch my breath

He walks over to me with an annoyed look on his face.

"I-I wasn't informed that today was porcupine look-a-like day" I said, snorting between laughs.

"Yeah? And I wasn't informed it was clown lipstick day" He snorted back and I stopp laughing as soon as he starts to. I give him a big toothy smile as soon as I pluck one of the spikes on his head as hard as I can. He let's out a shrill scream while holding his head.

"Damn you Totem Pole, you ruined my whole hairstyle!!" He says staring at the window using it as a mirror.

"Looks like I didya a big favor" I say not letting my smile leave my face and I hear Rebbecca ,Chase,and the rest of the class laughing at us. Even Jenny let's out a short giggle. Like same old times.

"Ugh you made me look stupid infront of Jenny" He says low enough for only me to hear.

"Shut up you did that all on your own" I yell at him how dare he think that its my fault he got laughed at. If he hadn't insulted my makeup none of this would have ever happened.

Just then Luther walks in through the door. He looks even more handsome than before, if thats possible. I walk over to Chase and ask him some questions.

"Hey Chase" He turns around and looks at me.

"Watup EB" Ugh I hate that nickname. Most people call me it besides Justin. His nicknames are usually a stupid reference to my height.

"Watsup with the new guy?" I ask trying to make myself sound as bored and uninterested as possible.

"Oh Luther? Well he's like pretty shy and doesn't talk very much.Why do you ask?" He asks looking a bit suspicious and I gulp.

"No reason just curious." I respond back but before I can even walk back to my seat I am stopped abrubtly by Rebecca.

"What were you talking about with my Darling?" She says looking at me straight in the eye. Forgot to mention, she has a sick paranoia over him..

"Chill Rebecca no ones moving in on your Darling." I say mocking her voice.

She gives a loud laugh and smiles at me.

"Okay good. So you excited for the field trip?" She asks standing by her seat behind mine.

"Hell yeah you know I love the water!" Before she can answer Chase comes over.

"Wow. So does Justin" He says sitting down in her seat and she sits down on his lap.

"Hmm Justin and Ebony have lots in common don't they?" She says clearly throwing hints everywhere.

"Yeah they do I wonder why" Chase says, wrapping his arms around her waist and I roll my eyes.

I already know what they are trying to say. Its the same thing they say everyday. They and probably the whole entire class thinks we should...be together.

Which will NEVER EVER HAPPEN. NOT IN A MILLION YEARS.

But they don't listen.

"Yeah Yeah. Haha Whatever." I respond to them, too tired to list the reasons why that will never happen.

"Okay class, time to line up outside by the bus!" Mr.Landin yells. I smile, happily and excited, looking over at Luther before I feel a hand tap me.

"You ready?" Justin whispers to me and tons of "what ifs" started to swarm around in my mind but we shook on it so these "what-ifs" will just have to wait.

"Yeah ready." I say.
