Chapter 6- Confessions and Invitations

We were at the Chinese restaurant now and Rebecca, Chase, Jenny, and Luther were still having a good laugh about that little scene in the classroom. Me and Justin begged them to stop but they just kept going. Ugh that's the thing about highschool its a place for pure and utter embarrassment.

"Oh right Jenny,Luther what did you guys want to tell us?"Rebecca asks. That's right Jenny and Luther did have something to say

Jenny looked at Luther who looked at Jenny then they both looked back st all of us.

"Were dating now!" Jenny and Luther yelled out.Rebecca and Chase looked completely surprised but also happy but Justin and I looked surprised and yeah that's it just surprised.

"Omg you guys are dating congratulations!"Rebecca says holding Jenny's hands.Chase high fives Luther and congratulates them. Meanwhile Justin and I looked like two deeds in a headlight.

"Ebony!"Jenny yells snapping her fingers in my face.I snapped back to reality then and looked at her."You and Justin haven't said anything yet"Jenny says sounding a bit worried.

"Oh um..sorry...congratulations.You guys are so cute together"I say managing a smile even though I felt like someone slapped me in the face. I really like Luther but now he's with Jenny so I guess there's no way I can like him now.

"Thanks"She says smiling "Justin?".Justin looks up and he looks a little bit lost.He must be feeling exactly what I'm feeling.

"...Oh uh nice job you guys congrats" He says but its obviously not real. I feel bad for him.....but not as bad as I feel for me I mean I feel like I'll never find a boyfriend.

"Thanks man" Luther says with a wide grin on his face. Man they looks so happy together...maybe they're meant to be.

They all continued talking about what they like about each other,when they started liking each other, and who asked to go out stuff like that.I just sat there like a dummy looking at the menu. Suddenly Justin tapped me on the shoulder.

"You alright?" He asks. Wow he actually looked concerned. How nice of him

"Not really....you?" He still looked pretty sad about all this.

"Nah...but what can we do right ?"He smiled then and I agreed with him. I might like Luther and Justin might like Jenny but they're our friends and we can't mess things up for them all we can do is be happy for them....because they do make a good match.

"I have tickets to an Umibozu concert tommorow night...I was going to ask Jenny but..,you know.Do you know Umibozu?"

Omg did he just say Umibozu! I hope he did because I love that band! They're a rock band that I have been listening to for quite a long time.I wonder where he got these expensive tickets from.

"Are you kidding? Umibozu is awesome! I really hope you're asking me to come with you."I said practically pleading with my eyes that he'd give me a ticket so wed could go see them. I've been waiting to go to a concert for months now!

"Don't flatter yourself" He scoffed "I was just trying to see if you knew them and yeah they are amazing!

Jeez what should I do to make him take me. Should I bribe him? Should I do his homework?No no no what is something Justin really loves?.....Of course! Compliments!

"Justin you know you're an amazing guy and really smart"I say giving him a nudge in the elbow and winking. He looks at me like I'm crazy then he smirks understanding what I'm doing.

"That's really all you got?" He says unimpressed. Hmm what else could I say. Ooh I know!

"Justin you're really cool and have great charisma" This has to do it for him. But he just pretends like he's yawning. Damn not a good sign.What else? What else? What else?.......Omg of course!

"Justin you're the biggest womanizer in school!"I wait for his reaction. He smirks and rubs his neck.

"Ah I guess I could let you come this once" He says. Im so happy I squeal the loudest I can and kick my legs up. And I do something that surprises both me and Justin.

I hug him

Justin stares at me for a long time and I'm just sitting there staring back at him. I didn't know why I hugged him all of a sudden it just happened. But...it wasn't a bad hug though. Hes so warm and small like a little baby. I know crazy right but whatever who cares really. I was thinking to much that I didn't realize Rebecca ,Chase, Jenny, and Luther were staring at us.

"Whoa what happened while we were talking?" Chase asked arching an eyebrow. They looked at my hands then at me then at Justin then back again. A smirk is progressing on Rebecca's face. I know exactly what she's thinking.

"Wow Ebony first the note in class now this. What's next?" She and the rest of them start laughing at the event in class. I was blushing hard but not from embarrassment but from anger. Can't they go one day without assuming I'm crushing on Justin? That is so out of the question.

"Shut up you guys damn its not that funny!" I say getting louder as I speak and this just makes them laugh louder. So I decided to just let them laugh. Its no use trying to stop them. I look over at Justin and he's eating his food but his face is tinted red.I should apologize for embarrassing him.

"Sorry I got carried away." I say rolling my eyes. My friends are still laughing their heads off about this. Why are they my friends again?

"No problem.I mean I am the biggest womanizer in school." He says looking all cocky. I look at him hard and then I starts cracking up laughing. He's yelling at me saying that he's serious and I just keep laughing.

"Stop laughing already bigfoot!He yells. They he goes with that big foot again. He did it again. Damn midget.

"Call me bigfoot one more time!" I say calmly stopping the laughter. This seems to intimidate him a little but guess what he's says.

"BIGFOOT!"He yells straight into my face. I grab his ear and give it a good yank while he screams in pain. There we are right back where we started.
