Laney Pov

I watched him as he forced himself into Christian's clothes. He looked so much older now.

"Tell your man he need to get his weight up. I can barely fit this too." He laughed.

"Oh shut up. My man is just fine." I smirked. I miss Christian so much. Having Jamal here makes me for comfortable, though. It brings back that feeling of comfort when we were in New York. It feels like the old days.

"I met him." He told me. He was not telling me nothing I ain't already know. He probably was in there threatening him and everything.

"So?" I laughed.

"So you picked a good one." He said in all honesty. That warmed my heart. Jamal was always a real nigga about everything. He never was on no hating shit.

"He's cute huh?" I bit my bottom lip. He started mugging me.

"Gone on with the gay shit, Laney. You know I don't play that." He said. I rolled my eyes and went to the living room. Lil Jamal was sound asleep on the couch. I slowly took the remote from his hand and turned the television off.

I heard a soft knock at the door.

"Who is it?" I turned to Jamal. He looked annoyed by someone being at the door.

"Your daddy bitch." It sounded like Lori.

"Bitch stop playing." I swung the door open and she stood there with a smile. Her smiled dropped once she saw Jamal.

"Bitchhhh." She covered her mouth in shock. She walked in slowly and approached him.

"It really is you." She said in disbelief.

"Yo, who is this shorty?" Jamal asked annoyed.

"Jamal meet Lori, Christian's twin sister. Lori this is Jamal." I introduced them.

"Wassup shorty." Jamal said smoothly.

"Bitch he cute! Why you want my brother again?" She looked Jamal up and down. She was treating Jamal like he was a piece of meat.

"Stop acting like a hoe and go sit down." I told her. Jamal didn't seem phased by her. Girls never impressed him. Hell I didn't impress him for a long time. I honestly don't know how he fell in love with me.

"Yo shorty you just bumped into me." He whispered in my ear while the loud music played at the block party.

"I'm sorry it's so crowded." I shrugged.

"Just watch out next time." He said with a straight face. I stared at him but he never cracked a smile.

"How about you stay out my way next time." I rolled my eyes and walked off.

He always played hard to get. He played harder than me. I found myself chasing that nigga. He act like he didn't want to give the kid no play. I knew he wanted me, though. He just didn't know how to do it.

"Well good to see such a strong black man that isn't behind bars anymore." Lori said.

"Is that right." Jamal rubbed his beard slightly and looked at me. He was looking like a snack. I can't believe I haven't jumped his bones yet.

"I mean you really did use your time sparingly." She started rubbing his muscular arm.

"Come get your girl, B." He said. I quickly grabbed Lori and lead her to the couch.

"Jamal, Lori is back." I shook him woke and he crawled into her lap.

"Hey handsome." Lori told him. His little cheeks started turning red.
