Laney POV
"You didn't think I would leave you did you?" Christian smirked. Jamal looked up at me to see if I knew him.
"What are you doing?" I asked straight up. Him going on the run with me could get him killed.
"Yea what are you doing?" Jamal copied me. I looked down at him and rubbed the top of his head.
"I love you. And so does Jory." He said.
"Huh?" I asked confused. A girl sitting on a seat across from him took her hood off. It was Jory!
"Family business?" Jamal looked up at me.
"Where is your mom?" I asked Jamal.
"I don't know." He shrugged.
"What you mean you don't know lil man?" Christian asked.
"I wasn't talking to you. I was talking to her." Jamal grabbed my hand and held it.
"Sorry." Christian held his hands up in defense.
"Let's go sit down." Jamal told me. I held his hand and we walked back to the back of the bus and took our seats.
"Do you have an address?" I asked him.
"No ma'am." He said nonchalantly.
"Well... What about your family?" I asked.
"I just wonder the streets and hop on buses every chance I get. My mama don't love me." He broke my heart once he said that. I used to be that lil girl that was not loved by her family....I'm still that lil girl.
"I care.." I told him. He snuggled up close to me and played with the ends of my hair.
Christian POV
I looked back at her and the little boy. He was all snuggled under her like a baby loving his mom.
"So how you feel?" Jory came and sat next to me.
"Like a man. I chased a girl before she could leave me." I smiled.
"Not just any girl, America's Most Wanted fugitive." She put emphasis on fugitive.
"I love her." I shrugged.
"You love Mya. Do you even know Laney Cole?" Jory squinted her eyes. Who the hell she supposed to be?!
"Mya is Laney. That's the girl Laney wants to be but can't because of her history." I said. We both looked back and saw her staring out the window. She looked up at me and started blushing.
"I love her." I said once again.
"Me too." Jory said.
Laney POV
"Mama, wake up." I fluttered my eyes open to the morning sun and Jamal hovered over me in my face.
"I'm not your mom." I groaned. He looked like he wanted to cry.
"Ok ok. I'm your mom." I told him. I'm only 18! Who the fuck gone look after me?!
"We're in the next city." He said excitedly. Springfield like Black told me. I wonder is he still gone hook me up with that spot.
"Okay look. Where is your real mom before what I'm about to do be considered kidnapping?" I said.
"I don't know. Somewhere on the streets." He shrugged. I nodded and gathered my things.
Christian and Jory was already off the bus.
"Ready to be on the run?" I asked Jamal before stepping foot off the bus.
"I've been doing this ma'am." He said.
