Nothing Left to Say

Chapter 12

~~~~Iridessa’s POV~~~~
‘Oh no.” I thought. ‘He said magic.
Eris’s eyes lit up. “Magic?” She said excitedly. “It’s real?”
Herobrine nodded.”How is that possible?” Jerome asked.
“Well,” I said, “He’s Herobrine. He had to get out somehow.”
“Impossible.” Jason said. “Magic isn’t real. He has to be fake.”
I heard thunder in the distance. I look up towards the sky and see storm cloud begin to form. Eris and I look at eachother. “Woah.” She says. I nod in agreement.
Seto and Kyle were looking up too. Seto looked like he's seen this before, but was trying to act like has hasn’t. Kyle looked like he was going to run at any second.
Adam had closed his eyes and looked like he tuned the whole conversation out. I wonder why he paled earlier when Herobrine called him Sky?  I thought asked myself.
Jason glanced up at the sky. He quickly hid his nervousness and looked back at Herobrine. I think that was a mistake.
Herobrine was looking down and his hair was hanging in his eyes. His eyes had brightened and his hands were clenched into fists. The rain began to come down. He chuckled darkly.
“Is this fake?” He asked. “Does this look fake? Am I just a pathetic wannabe?”  Lightning flashed and thunder roared a few seconds later. The wind picked up and whipped my hair around my face. The rain was relentlessly coming down.
People ran to their cars. Some children screamed. I heard crying. Winter whined behind me. A pet her wet fur. “Shh. You’ll be fine. I’m sure. It’s just a storm. It can’t hurt you.” I whispered to her. But it’s a lie, I’m not sure she will be okay at all.
Eris had picked up her cat, Shade. He didn’t look to happy. Poor thing was soaked. Eris was trying in vain to dry him with her already wet hoodie.  She looked like she was trying to calm him down too.
Lightning came down close to where Eris and I were standing. Eris jumped back. “Hero! Calm down!” She yelled.
“Why should I?” He asked. “He says I’m not real. What would you do if someone said that to you?”
“Shake it off, and say thanks.” Eris said simply.
Herobrine seemed slightly confused about what Eris said. I didn't even get it and she’s my best friend.
~~~~Eris’s POV~~~~

Hero still looked angry after I told him what I would do. But he also looked slightly confused. ‘This proves more difficult.’ I think to myself.

“Hero. Just ignore what he said. He doesn’t know what he’s saying.” I try to stay calm. I’m absolutely terrified of what could happen. No matter how awesome I think Herobrine is...He could kill me with a flick of his wrist. I took a mental deep breath. A song came to mind as I tried to stay calm.

Who knows how long,

I’ve been awake now?

The shadows on my wall don't sleep.

They keep calling me.

Beckoning.

Who knows what’s right?

The lines keep getting thinner.

I began to sing aloud. Softly. I don’t think anyone herd.

My age has never made me wise.

but I keep pushing on

And on, and on, and on.

There’s nothing left to say now.

There’s nothing left to say now.

I’m giving up, giving up. hey hey, giving up now.

I’m giving up, giving up. hey hey, givin up now.

Imagine Dragons. Nothing Left to Say Now. That fits the situation, or I think it does. I still had Shade in my hands. He was soaking wet. I hold him closer. Almost as if to reassure myself. I have a bad feeling. Something might happen.

The storm still raged on around Hero, Iridessa, Seto, Kyle and TC. God, they have been so quiet. But I spoke too soon.

Jason scoffed. “Haha, yeah right. Herobrine isn’t anything but a myth. And magic never existed.”

Lightning struck the ground right behind Hero. He didn’t even move. He kept staring at me. His pupiless eyes seemed to be glowing brighter and brighter. The thunder was so loud that the ground shook beneath my feet. I lost my balance and feel to the muddy ground. Not good.

The next thing happened in slow motion. I saw the sky light up one more time. A blinding light came straight at me. It seemed like hours, but it hit me dead on. My nerves must have overloaded with pain. I didn’t feel a thing.

I heard screaming. My eyesight was unfocused, I saw dark blurs running towards me. Odd thing was, each blur had a color surrounding it. Purple, white, red, green and bright gold where the only solid colors. There was a brown one, but it had a darker feeling that was hidden behind it. A dark pink one had a slight blue tint to it. My vision began to darken,

I heard sounds, but they made no sense. I blinked again, and gave into the darkness. After all I had nothing left to say. But I had one last thought,

Why had the lightning hit me? What did I do wrong?

And it echoed.
