Chapter 4
The whole weekend, I was tired of everything, nothing in particular... Or so it may seem. In my head, I was running around in circles, thinking about only one thing in the middle - what happened yesterday.
I had mixed feelings: anger, humiliation, arouse, remorse, etc. It was all in my head and it didn't seem to go down unless I was eating ice cream.
But most of all, I was thinking plainly about James. Yes, James, the one that almost took away that one thing I have pride in out of the youth these days. He didn't mean it, I'm sure. He was drunk, I know. He had me if only I drank one last shot of Red Horse. But even then, he had me. I was surprised I even got out of his grasp. He was so gentle, so passionate and strong and I was overwhelmed.
That night, James texted me.

• Big Foot (James)
Hey... Sorry about what happened yesterday. 😔
I liked it tho. 😁 You were really good for your first time. 😉
I blushed.
Reply:
Yeah, you should be sorry. 😡 I'm sleeping. And wipe that grin off your face. Big Foot.
... But thanks for the booze anyway. See you tomorrow.
I didn't wait for his reply and doze off.

Monday came and he was waiting for me at the entrance, "Good morning, Sunshine."
I could help but laugh mockery, "Seriously? Sunshine? That's all you got? Wow."
He shrugged but then chortled sarcastically, "Har har, come here."
James pulled my arm and twirled me until my back was against his stomach, "That day was the best day of my life... So far."
Enhancing the 'So far', it made me blush a little. Or maybe my head turned into a tomato, I dunno.
I pushed past him and proceeded to my locker.

During lunch, James forced me to eat with him (with my friends' help, of course.) we ditched school and ate outside in Papa John's.
It wasn't much of a date, really. I paid for my own food and we didn't feed each other and all that shit that makes up a decent date at a restaurant. We did have a good time though. He made jokes that cracked me up for about half an hour and we made fun of some other customers in the place.
After that, he rode his motorcycle and drove me home. I almost fell asleep behind his steel back, hugging his warm body tight. It was such a wonderful feeling, riding a bike fast. Almost magical, really.
The rode was a blur the whole trip due to his speed. We whizzed past traffic lights, dodged some cars and got horns honking at us and a couple of curses here and there.
I didn't care though. It felt like we could just ride ourselves away from them all, and that made me feel at ease. Whenever I'm with him, I feel safe. And it's not just because he's got muscles and an absolutely impossible attitude, but also because he has them reserved for me. I think.

After the ride, he dropped me off to my front porch.
I got out and took off my helmet, "So, uhh... This is me and... Thanks for the ride and... The PJ's too, yeah, thanks for that too."
He chortled a bit, took his helmet off, tapping his fingers wildly with it. I could tell he was nervous, "Sure, no prob. I had a fun time, too. See you tomorrow?"
I tucked my hair behind my ear, "O-of course. Well, bye."
I turned, ready to leave, when he suddenly grabbed my wrist, "Wait."
I twirled around and saw his face about one and a half inch from mine. This is seriously too close for comfort.
"W-what?" I asked a little over a whisper.
He let my wrist go immediately, "N-nothing. I just--"
I cut him off as I absent-mindedly pecked his cheek, "Good night, Big Foot."
I walked away before he could say anything and closed the front door behind me.

That's all for now, folks! I'll try making the story even more readable next time. 😉
But for the mean time, see you around! 😺
