Not So Young Chapter 9

WARNING. MUST READ.

Ok, so I had a few modifications. Firstly, I moved the ages of people here so I won't get scolded at for assumingly supporting underage sexual acts.

So, Raneigh is now 16, so is everyone in her batch.

James is a senior and Devin and Rhys are juniors.

Also, I changed Klarra's crush's name from Malachy to Kyzer, since I would like to keep Raneigh's brother's name as Malachy.

Lastly, the story does not take place in the Philippines anymore. You'll know why at the later chapters. 😉

So that's it. I edited the first chapters but for the people who are too lazy to read it all over again, yeah...

Oh! And I would also like to warn you that...

THIS HAS A KIND OF 15-16+ CONTENT. PLEASE BE WARY.

Thank you and good day!

Chapter 9

Devin was holding me against him tightly, our eyes focusing on each other. We were damp in the dark alley and he leaned in to my ear, "We should grab you some clothes."

About 13 hours earlier...

"Hey, someone sent this to me earlier. I think it's one of your friends. He wants you to come to this... Gathering," Malachy, my half-brother, finger-combed his hair while going through the card again, reading it out loud this time with his cute, as girls his age would describe, Australian accent.

Malachy and I shared the same mother, although he had a father from Australia, who is the legitimate husband of mum. We were 5 years apart and though I never knew my father, mum, her husband and he didn't seem keen about the topic and never told me anything.

See, I lived with my mother and her husband, plus some other family members including close relatives. The house was packed, but that's what a family home is.

I used to share a room with Clover, but then Mum wanted Malachy and I to 'be a closer sibling to each other,' as she would say.

Still, we were never really close, even after my 18 years of living here. We never fought, we just never got to be close to each other since he was always busy with college and stuff. There was the occasional familiar chitchat and playful talks, but never a really sibling bond, you know? I was fine with that, I guess.

"Oh? Let me see," I replied, copying his accent. He chuckled after.

I read it. It was from Miranda. I checked the date and it was tonight. Well, I guess they weren't the patient kind. I kinda didn't want to go but since it was my first time to be invited to this, I was curious, "I'll go ask Mum."

"Oh she's not here yet. She went to her friend's house," Malachy said, not looking up from his computer.

"Again? Wow, new record. Will she ever stop wasting her money?" I asked, sarcastically, that is.

"Beats me."

"Right, well, just tell her I'll be back at 11," I said through the closed door as I changed to my coat, cropped top, denim shorts and stockings. I put on my Dr. Marten's and beanie and rushed off to the destination on the card.

"Santana Village, 48th street... Oh, here we go." I jogged to the steps infront of the house, hearing loud music inside. Yep, not a gathering.
