Another Chance

Chapter 32

"Well the thing is I was wondering if you wanted to go to the next Hogsmeade trip with me?" Blaise asked.

Hermione was surprised at that. She did not know that Blaise liked her that way. Hermione did not realize that she was in her thoughts when she looked to Blaise and saw him waiting for an answer. Hermione looked at Blaise and asked,

"Could I think about it for a few days?"

"Of course. You know where to find me when you have my answer. Good night my dear Princess." Blaise said taking a bow and walking away.

Hermione walked into her common room and saw Draco sitting on the couch waiting for her. He smirked at her and asked,

"So did you say yes?"

"You knew that he was going to ask me?" She asked.

Draco nodded and said,

"Yeah, he is my best mate. You are all he talks about. But I know that there is someone else fighting for your heart Hermione. So what did you tell him?"

"I told him that I would have to think about it." Hermione told Draco.

Draco nodded. Hermione raised her eyebrow in concern.

"What? You knew I was going to say that?" She asked.

"Yeah, I got to know you pretty well Hermione. You may not see it but I know that you don't see Blaise that way but you don't want to break his heart." Draco explained.

Hermione sat down next to him. She looked at him surprised. She was impressed with Draco.

"So oh great one, what should I do? Since you think you know everything about my thoughts and heart." Hermione asked teasingly.

"Well, I think you should give the guy a try. Blaise is a great guy Hermione. But if you don't think after one or two dates that you like him that way then just tell him that you want to be friends. Blaise will understand. He only wants a chance, that's all Hermione." Draco explained.

Hermione nodded and headed up to bed. She had a lot to think about. Then next day Hermione meet with Luna, Ginny, and Pansy by the lake for some girl time. They sat there watching the leaves fall and people messing around. Pansy poked Ginny and Ginny looked over to see what Pansy was looking at. They saw Hermione starring at Fred and Blaise hanging out with the boys near the Quidditch pitch.

"So Hermione do you see something that interests you?" Pansy asked wiggling her eyebrows.

Hermione looked up and said,

"What?"

She was distracted in her thoughts and did not realize that she was staring at the guys. Mostly Fred and Blaise.

"Pansy asked if there is someone that interest you over there?" Ginny asked with a giggle.

Hermione looked to where the girls were looking at and blushed a little bit. She sighed and said,

"I was just in my thoughts. I have so much on my mind."

"Would any of it be about a certain Gryffindor prankster or a Slytherin sweetie?" Pansy asked smirking.

Hermione sighed and said,

"Yeah, Fred kissed me yesterday and," Hermione was explaining but the girls started question what's going on between Hermione and Fred. Hermione put her hands up to quiet them down.

"BUT, Blaise asked me out." Hermione finished.

Ginny, Pansy, and Luna looked at her shocked. They could not believe what they were hearing.

"What are you going to do?" Luna asked.

"Draco told me that I should give Blaise a chance but I did not tell him that Fred kissed me. Just like," Hermione trailed off remembering her fourth year.

"Just like what?" Ginny asked grinning.

"Oh did I let that slip?" Hermione said blushing.

The three girls nodded and wait for Hermione to explain. Hermione thought about it for a minute and then said,

"In my fourth year after the Yule Ball Ron and I got into an argument. I was sitting on the steps trying not to cry and Fred was there comforting me. We may have kissed that night as well."

"WHAT?!" Ginny, Luna, and Pansy all screamed at once.

Hermione blushed and just nodded. She did not know her feelings toward Fred but they were stronger then brother feeling she get when she's with Ron and Harry. Ginny spoke up and got Hermione out of her thought,

"So what are you going to do Hermione?"

"I," Hermione was about to say before someone asking,

"What about Hermione?"

The girls turned to be faced with Harry, Draco, Blaise, and the twins. Ginny, Luna, and Pansy looked from Hermione to the guys. Hermione shook her head and then said,

"Don't worry boys. Use girls were just talking about things."

The boys looked to each other concerned and George spoke up and said,

"Don't question. We learned this the hard way. Right Freddie?"

Fred nodded and had a blush on his face. Hermione remember the last time the twins asked Hermione and Ginny what they were talking about and it was about their periods. That was an awkward thing to talk about when Ginny's brothers came in.

Hermione smirked and said,

"Well, I am glad you two learned your lesson."

Ginny laughed and whispered to Luna and Pansy what Hermione meant by that. Both girls started to laugh as well. Fred gave Hermione a glare and then got down to where she was sitting and whispered into her ear,

"If I remember, George and I were not the only embarrassed ones that day. I remember someone else going Weasley red."

Hermione glared at Fred and pushed him aside. He started to laugh at that. Hermione just glared and went back to talking to the girls.

"Well, if you don't mind. We have some things to discuss. So if you could please LEAVE!" Pansy said trying to say it nicely.

The boys shook their head and walked away. Pansy looked back to Hermione and asked,

"What are you going to do?"

Hermione looked from Blaise and Fred. She knew if Fred did have feelings for her then he would have already asked her out. But he hasn't. Hermione smiled and said,

"I know what I am going to do. I will be right back."

Hermione got up and walked over to the boys. Harry raised his eyebrow at Hermione. She smirked and winked at him. She walked up to Blaise and whispered into this ear. She then turned and walked away from the guys. Blaise smile grew into a huge goofy grin. Draco grinned and patted him on the back. Hermione sat back down with the girls. They were as surprised that Hermione just did that.

"What just happened?" Harry asked confused.

"Well, what just happened was Blaise her got his answer he was waiting for." Draco explained.

"What answer would that be?" Fred asked.

"If Hermione would go on a date with me." Blaise said.

"And?" George asked surprised.

"She said....
