Another Chance

Chapter 37

He handed me a small box and I looked at him confused. I thought he was part of George's gift but thinking back that the note only was signed from George and possible Lee and Angelia. Hermione slowly opened the present and there was a note in it. I looked at him and then the note.

Mione,

There is nothing in this world that could come to your beauty. I am so glad that you have come into my life. You are an amazing witch that could take over the world if you wanted to. This is your day and you deserve the world. But all I could think is that you should have all the happiness at your hands. So here is one thing I could think of. Something that will let you remember everyone that you care for. You just got to think about them hard enough and they will appear. I hope you like it.

Fred

There was nothing else in the box. I just looked at him confused. Ginny and Pansy grabbed the note from my hands and read it everyone. Pansy had the box in her hands. She looked to Fred and asked,

"Is this some type of joke?"

"Wouldn't you like to know Pansy. But no, it is not a joke. I know Hermione will figure it out. She is smart enough." He said smiling.

I did not understand his note but there was a clue in there. I had to think hard enough and then it will appear. I just looked at Fred and our eyes were connected. He smiled to me.

"Well, I am thinking hard. But everyone I care about it mostly here or in my..." I stopped and touched my heart.

Right there appeared a chained heart locket. I placed it in my hands and looked at it. I could not believe how cleaver Fred was. He made it personal for me. I slowly opened it up and gasped. Inside was a picture of me and my parents when I was younger. I did not know how he got a photo of us.

"Fred how?" I was only able to ask.

I looked back down and saw that the picture had changed to Harry and me in the tent when we were hunting for horcruxes. We were dancing. No one was there to take a picture. I could not believe this. I watched it change again. I felt a tear slip down my face.

"How did you do this? That was a memory I had with Harry. It was just Harry and I there." I asked whipping the tears from my eyes as I saw a picture of Remus and Sirius sitting at a table with Ginny and I.

"It is connected to you. I made it so that they wearer is connected to the necklace and it will show memories from the past, from your life." He explained.

I wrapped my arms around him and gave him a hug. It was then most thoughtful thing someone could ever give me. I could now remember my parents and have pictures of them forever. I gave Fred a kiss on the check.

"Thank you Fred. This means the world to me." I told him.

"Hermione you deserve the world. At least I can always see that smile on your face. Now you can always have all of us with you when you are in a dark moment." Fred told me.

All you heard was Ginny and Pansy awing about it. We turned to them. I forgot that they were there. Ginny handed me the note back. I took it and placed it with my other things. We walked back to our rooms. Fred walked with Draco and I to our common room. We got to the portrait and he faced me.

"Well, good night Mione." Fred said.

"Night Fred. Thank so much." I told him.

He gave me a kiss on the check and left. I turned to see that Draco already went inside. He gave us some alone time. I walked in and saw Draco sitting on the couch grinning.

"Oh shut up. Good night Draco." I told him walking up the stairs to my room.

I started to cast my silencing charms up but then stopped myself. I just walked over to my bed and went to sleep with a huge smile on my face.
