Chapter 4(Alex)

We stopped at this giant mansion with four stories.The had this fountain near the grand entrance and there was this pathway that you walk on.Surrounding the fountains were trees.I stood there for a few seconds enjoying the few before entering.I entered the mansion and all I could get out of my mouth was

"Wow,it's big."I managed to say.

"Yeah,most people have that reaction."Jason says smiling.

"We should probably get to your room,we have a lot of stuff to do."I said.

"Follow me."He said and started walking to the stairs.

It took forever to arrive since the mansion had so many rooms and floors but we had arrived and Jason opened the door.Surprisingly,it was actually neat and I walked in.

"Alright,let's get to work."I said pulling out all the stuff that was needed.

"Alex,can I ask you something?"Jason asked.

"Yeah."I responded.

"If somebody likes you and they're your friend,would you feel awkward or would you not care?"He asked.

I thought about it for a second and for some random reason I felt like he asked that question because he liked me and wanted to know how I would feel but I pushed that thought out of my head because I was sure he didn't like me.

"Depends who that person is."I answered.

"What if it was me?"He asked.

"Are you saying you like me?"I started to ponder.

"Maybe..."He said and shrugged his shoulders.

My instant reaction was to push him onto the bed.

"I don't take maybe as a answer."I said in a harsh tone.

"Uh......"He said.

"Tell me now."I said shooting him my death glare.

"Fine,I do."He said.

Suddenly,I heard a sound and since I have fast reactions I got off of Jason and sat in my chair.Jason following my lead got up too.The door opened to reveal Jason's mom.She had the same piercing green eyes that Jason has.Her brown hair was tied up in a bun and she was wearing one of those fancy dresses.(Personally,I hate dresses as you may or may not know).

"Everything alright here?"She asked.

"Yeah,Ms.Ryder."I replied.

"Please call me Sam."She said.

Wow.I didn't know that.Does she like me?

"Mom,you're embarrassing me."Jason said embarrassed.

"Tell me if you need anything..."She said waiting for me to say my name.

"Alex,short for Alexandra."I said.

"See ya later,Alex."She said and left.

Jason looked embarrassed and I couldn't help it,he looked cute when he was embarrassed.

"Sorry about that."He said.

"Nah,it's fine.Your mom seems nice and do you think she likes me?"I said.

It was probably the lighting but I swear that Jason was blushing.

"Probably,she never lets anybody call her Sam until well,you."He admitted.

"We should probably start if we're gonna win."I said and we got to work.
