Chapter 16(Cody)

God, I am so sick of all this relationship drama. Honestly, all of Jason's chapters have something to do with Alex and what's going on with them.( Ow, Jason. Admit it, it's true). Anyways while they were busy doing that, Kara and I were outside by the pool just chilling and talking about stuff. Jason and Alex were supposed to be here a few hours ago to meet for the treasure hunt that's happening later today. They've never been late before so we had no idea what was going on. ( We know now of course).

"Where is Alex and Jason?" Kara began to wonder.

"I have no idea, they're usually not late." I responded.

"They'll probably be here soon." Kara said.

Right on cue, Alex and Jason walked outside and saw us. They both joined us.

"Where were you guys? We've been here waiting for hours!" Kara said clearly frustrated.

Alex and Jason quickly glanced at each other before Jason spoke up.

" We were busy discussing things but the important thing is that we're all here now." Jason said.

"Guys, Crystal is still missing. " I pointed out.

"True. That leaves us with a tiny issue." Kara said.

"What is it?" We all said at the same time.

"We need 5 people for the treasure hunt." Kara said in a worried tone.

"Then we'll just have to find someone to replace Crystal. " Alex said.

"Alright then." I said.

We all split up in groups hoping that someone would join us. Jason went with Kara and I went with Alex. Alex seemed a little more less herself after she and Jason came. We walked to the hot tub and they were tons of guys there talking and drinking beer. Alex decided to approach them.

"Woah, smoking hot girl alert. " One of the guys said.

All the guys looked at the direction of Alex.

"Hey, guys." She said.

"So what brings you here?" The same guy said.

"We were wondering if any of you guys would like to join our group for the treasure hunt." I said.

"Who's this kid?" One of the guys said.

"Is that your boyfriend?" The guy asked.

"No." Alex said simply.

"Treasure hunts sounds lame. " The other guys said.

"Shut up. They do have a fair point but I'll go for you since I can't say no to such a pretty face." The guy said.

"Okay, I'll need your name. " Alex said.

"Chris." The guy replied.

"Chris, meet as in the lobby." I said before leaving with Alex.

Alex and I walked back to the place we said we'd meet.

"Did you guys find anybody?" I asked Jason.

"Nope, so such luck. All the people said they were already in a group or weren't interested. " Jason said disappointed.

"Well, we found someone named Chris." I said.

They all cheered up.

"What's he like?" Kara asked.

"Well, he's -" I began to say.

"Oh my god, is he one of those hotties from the hottub?" Kara exclaimed.

I nodded my head.

"Do you think he might be interested in someone like me? " Kara said.

"Um, I'm pretty sure that he made it pretty clear he's interested in Alex." I said.

"Oh." Kara said.

" We told him we'd meet him in the lobby when the treasure hunt starts. " Alex said.

"Well, the treasure hunt doesn't start until a few hours so we still have time to do something else." Kara stated.

"Well, I'm gonna try to get to know this Chris dude." Alex said and began heading towards the direction of the hottub.

Jason looked pretty annoyed at that which I didn't get.

"Alright, Kara and I will check out the arcade. You coming Cody?" Jason asked.

"Sure." I said.

We entered the arcade and it was jam packed with people. They were so many arcade machines that it took up all the space. It was one of the biggest arcades I've ever seen.

"Wow." I said looking around.

"I know Cody, this arcade is huge!" Jason exclaimed.

"Are you guys just gonna stand there all day or are we actually gonna play?" Kara said impatiently.

I quickly made it over and we started playing. Honestly, I think Jason was thinking about Alex the entire time.
