Chapter 2 Adopted?

So when I left I was just about to read the paper.

Long story short the paper was an adoption form. Who's adoption form you might ask. Mine that's who's. Yes I am adopted. As well as Sapphire.turns out that Aunt Jane and Uncle Rick were our foster parents and decided to adopt us when we were little.

"So what are we going to do?" Sapphire asked me after I finished reading the paper over the third time.

"We're going to go talk to our family." I said calmly looking at the paper in my hands.

We walked upstairs heading towards the living room where Ante Jane and Uncle Rick were watching TV

"Hey guys!" I said cheerily

"Hey Jewel, what's up? Ante Jane asked me turning the volume on the TV down a notch since they listen to it at like 35. yeah we are a really loud family.

"Oh nothing much, We just found something very interesting and we would like to share it with you guys." I said smiling

"Really what did you find?" She asked me

"Here, see for your self." I replied handing her the paper

"I can't read with out my glasses. Can you read it hun?" She asked uncle Rick

"Ok" he said taking the paper after reading it over a few times he looked up at us.

"So you found this then?" he asked me and Sapphire.

"They found what?" Ante Jane asked impatiently

"The adoption forms." he said sadly looking down at his lap

"We're sorry girls, we should have told you earlier." Ante Jane said sadly also looking at her lap.

After about 10 minutes of awkward silence Sapphire spoke up.

"So is everything we know about our life wrong?" Sapphire asked sternly

"Not all of it." Ante Jane told us finally looking up at us.

"So what is true then?" I huffed

"You are sisters. The story of the eagle is true as well as what we told you about your parents. " uncle Rock said

"So mom and dad did die?" me and Sapphire asked together

"Well not exactly." Ante Jane said.

"How not exactly?" I asked.

"They weren't your real parents. That's all we know." Uncle Rick told us.

I could tell they were telling the truth. I know stuff like that. It really comes in handy.

"Ok so where can we find more information on our parents?" Sapphire asked.

"Here" Uncle Rick said passing Sapphire a sealed envelope. "Don't read it here! you must not read it any were near the house! the seal can only be opened at the foot if the CN tower." He told use in a rushed voice.

"Why at the foot if the CN tower?" I asked

"I don't know. When you were adopted your adopted parents were given that envelop and told only you could open it. Also that it had to be at the foot of the CN tower." He told us.

"Alright, let's go Sapphire." I said to my sis.

"Where are you going?" Ante Jane asked me.

" We are going to the CN tower. To find out what's in the envelop." Sapphire replied as we started walking towards our room to pack a few things

"What about school?" Uncle Rick asked

"School ends in a week. We will arrange something with the principal tomorrow." I shouted back at him

I grabbed two backpacks from the closet and tossed one to Sapphire.

"What should we pack?" Sapphire asked catching the bag

"I don't know. Two jeans, two shorts that kind of thing I guess" I said shoving some clothes in my bag
