Chapter 3 Off on an adventure

We talked to the principal and since we are A+ average students he agreed to let us take the exams that day. And not come in for the rest of the week.

We spent the school day writing the exams. It was pretty easy. I knew all that I needed to know.

-----------on the walk home-------

"Why do you think we have to go to the CN tower?" I asked Jewel as we got off the bus and started walking the four blocks to our house

"I don't know. Maybe so that it's far away from our house I guess." she replied looking over to at the lake.

We went inside and i asked them a question that has been bugging me. "so ar you guys our adopted parents parents then?"

"No. We aren't. We adopted you from a all girls foster home" they replied simply

"ok we are going to our room. call us for supper" i said walking away

We left our Ante's and Uncle's house the next day. We were all packed and had enough money to get us to Toronto.

"Bey girls! Good luck!" they shouted after us.

"Bey Ante Jean, Bey Uncle Rick!" Jewel and I said together.

"Alright let's go!" Jewel exclaimed

A few hours later we reached Toronto. We payed the cab. got something to eat. Then we started for the CN tower.

We got to the CN tower and stood a few feet away from it just looking at it.

"Ok, here we are." I told Jewel When we got there "Now what?"

"Pass me the envelope I'll open it." Jewel said retching for the envelope.

I took my bag off my shoulders and pulled the envelop out of my bag

"Ok here it is." I said whell handing her the envelope.

"Ok, here goes nothing!" she said opening the envelope.

"What does it say" I asked her.

"It says 'go to the nearest parking lot. Go to the far left courner there wait for a driver with the card names Jewel and Skylar he will take you somewhere safe'." she told me reading off the card

"Where is that? I'm confused" I told her.

"Who's Skylar? I asked

" I don't know. But i think its the parkng lot over there." she said thoughtfully.

"So were going there?" I asked pointing at the parking lot down the street

"Looks like." she said with a half grin on her face.

"Let's go then!" I said as we ran in the direction of parking lot
