Chapter 49 Tonight

It's just passed noon and Jewel decided to take a nap. Now is my chance to talk to Skylar. I want to ask Jewel if she would like to go get dinner with me tonight. So I figured that I would ask skylar where Jewel likes to go to dinner, hopefully I can impress her.

I slowly close Jewels bedroom door as I walkout after bringing her a bottle of water. I sigh as I lean against the wall beside Jewels door. I slide down the wall and to the floor. I love Jewel I just don't know if she is ready to go out. I don't want to ruin anything between us. I bring my knees up to my chest as I close my eyes and rest my head on my knees. I slowly breath in and out hoping it would help calm my nerves. Ok that's it CC time to go talk to skylar.

The short distance from jewels bedroom to Skylar's bedroom seamed like such a long trek. I know Ashley was going to be in there with her. He told me he was going to come today. Standing outside Skylar's door staring at it I was debating whether or not to knock. Damn it hand why did you just knock? Quick walk away!!!

I turn to leave just as the door opens. "CC? What are you doing?" Skylar asks opening the door and looking at my with a look of confusion on her face.
" I-I just wanted to talk to you about jewel" I said putting my hand behind my back like I do every time I'm nervous.
" Is she ok?" She asks nervously
" she's fine. I just wanted to ummm"
"CC? What did you want to ask me about jewel?" Skylar says calmly while pulling me into her bedroom and shutting the door behind her.
" I. I want to ask her out." I said sitting down on skylar's bed. I have to admit I feel as if a weight has been lifted off my shoulders.
"Awe CC that's great!" Skylar said jumping on the bed beside me happily.
" I was hoping you could help me plan the perfect date. Would you help me?" I said turning towards Skylar slowly.
" Of course you idiot!" She said happily as she hit my arm playfully. "So what kind of date were you thinking of?"
"my first thought was movie and dinner." I said looking down at the ground
" hmmm ok. More of a second date idea for jewel. How about you take her out for dinner then go out for ice cream and a walk?"
" you think she'll like that?" I ask unsure
" trust me. She's my sister. It's her ideal first date. If there is a park near by she will go on the swings just to warn you." She laughed as she picked up her phone from beside the bed. A few minutes later she hung up her phone.
"There I just made you guys reservations at red lobster for 8:30. Red lobster is her favourite restaurant. She always love to share a meal with someone when she goes there so maybe find a bigger plate." Among other things Skylar gave me somethings to remember for my date.
" thank you so much Skylar" I said gratefully
" your welcome CC. Anytime. Also across the street from red lobster is an ice cream shop maybe go there, or split a dessert at the restaurant." She said getting off her bed and grabbing a shirt off the floor and putting it in the basket.
" thanks again. She really has a thing for sharing meals doesn't she?" I said laughing as I walked out of her bedroom.
" yes she does. She always has come to think of it. I think it's just her thinking about the cost of things." She said walking me out of her room.
" hmm interesting. Thanks again. See you later Skylar." I said walking out of her room and down the stairs. I pull out my phone to text Ashley.
CC: How did you like sitting in the closet for twenty minutes? Lol XD
Ashley: Very funny bro! :/
CC: lol it is funny!!!!
I shut off my phone as I walked into the living room. Andy was sitting on the couch watching sponge bob.
"Hey CC" Andy called to me as he patted the seat beside him.
" what's up Andy?" I asked sitting down beside him.
" you asked out my little sis yet?" He said calmly looking at the TV screen.
"W-What do you mean?" I ask nervously.
"Have. You. Asked. Her. Out. Yet?" He said slowly saying each word.
" N-No I-I haven't" I stuttered
" well why not?" He asked with a slight smile on his face
" I-I. Really Andy? Why'd you say it like that?"
" like what?" He asked innocently
" oh never mind. I'm making nachos want some?" I asked getting off the black leather couch
" yes please" he said using his baby voice so that it sounded like ' yes puease'

When I came back to the living room with two plates of nachos Andy jumped up grabbed his plate and sat back down.
" so CC? Where are you taking her?" He asked once he sat back down
" red lobster" I said instantly. Shit! " I-I meant ummm who?"
" dude it's ok. Skylar told me when you were making nachos" he said smiling as he turned up the TV.
" wait so your ok with me asking her out?" I asked confused
" CC you want to ask her out go ahead. But if you hurt her I will kill you. Understand?" He said trying to sound scary
" ok Andy. I understand." I replied laughing as I put my feet up on the stool.
