The TARDIS doors to see him rushing around inside the blue box wearing his funny goggles. "The goggles? Again? Really?" I laughed, forgetting my tears. The Doctor on the other hand somehow knew something was up. "What's wrong?" He asked as I sighed in exasperation before answering him, watching him do things with the console. "I've found our excuse," I said as I played with my bracelet. "You okay?" He asked, probably noticing my long face. I nodded as The Doctor smiled. "Okay, if you say so. Anyways! Miss Winchester, are we ready to go?" He asked, leaning out of the TARDIS to check his surroundings. "Oh yeah!," I said, leaning off the console and following him around. "As long as we have fun and don't die," I said as the Doctor smiled, flipping his hair over his eyes. "As I told you earlier, Delphine Winchester, I am the Doctor, and you can most definitely trust me." He said, making hand gestures as he spoke. All of a sudden, he pulled me into a crushing side hug. "Don't worry, your brothers will be fine and we'll have tons of fun, and don't forget, I've promised to help you stay safe." He said, looking down at me. Letting me go, he went to close the TARDIS doors. "Your phone," he called, tossing it to me. "Where are we going to go?" I asked, catching my phone before it fell and following him around the console. He pulled a lever and spun round to face me. "It's your choice, Miss Winchester. We could see stars explode, wars fought between races, worlds are torn apart...or see what Henry the Eighth is eating for dinner," he whispered quickly, looking seriously into my eyes. "You control what we do and where we go...well unless my old police box here fancies going somewhere completely random and probably dangerous," he said, a mad grin appearing on his childlike face. "So, Delphine Winchester, the mad, clever girl from Cardiff who made me tea at one in the morning, I say this to you. All of time and space, everything that ever happened or ever will - where do you want to start?" He asked, smiling with excitement bursting in his eyes.
"Surely you know the answer to that question, Doctor?" I said, looking at the time rotor as it went up and down and then at my reflection on it. "Do I now?" The Doctor asked, looking through the glass at me with a quizzical expression. He thought for a moment, closing his eyes and subconsciously fixing his bow tie as he murmured something. I didn't blame him for forgetting, I did tell him this over thirteen years ago. "What did I ask you as I fell asleep under my duvet and watched you leave? What did I want?" I quizzed him, adding a few hints here and there as I continued walking around the TARDIS. He just looked at me, baffled. "Something spacey, not time travel..." He said as he thought harder. Laughing at his funny expression I decided to give him a hint. "How about I remind you? Jog your memory a bit? Keywords are space, tomorrow and natural phenomenon." He suddenly opened his eyes. "Ahhh!" He exclaimed in realization, grinning widely at me as he jumped up and down. "Black Holes!" he laughed, and I nodded as he raised his arms as in triumph. "Alright, Miss Winchester, if it's Black Holes you want, it's Black Holes, you'll get!" He announced, turning a dial, pulling a lever and then yelling, "Grab onto something!" Before I even had time to laugh, I was thrown to the side of the ship, screaming at the top of my lungs while laughing. "I did say hold on!" He yelled, as we quickly came to a stop. I laughed. "That was awesome!" I said as he smiled at me and ran over to the door, throwing it open, before I even had a chance to figure out what had just happened. Taking one last look at the TARDIS interior, I began walking over to the TARDIS entrance, stopping near him. "Not too close!" he warned, pointing to the floor, or where one should be. I gasped. It was just darkness, no floor, no nothing. Slowly looking up, I marveled at the view in front of me. Here I was, floating around in outer space in a telephone box. Not really something that happened every day.
"I present to you, a Black Hole. At this point it is commonly known as Delphi's Oracle," He said, pointing to a place where stars and all light was disappearing. "Named after Delphi's Oracle in Greece." I laughed, looking from The Doctor to the black hole and back again. It was so much to take in. Colors and light were twisting to create fabulous geometric shapes and swirls. "How can we be so close to one without dying?" I asked, still amazed. "TARDIS cool stuff, this is no time to explain," He said as we watched more stars and light get swallowed up. "So you just get to do this, anytime you want?" I asked. He nodded, leaning against the doorframe. "How lucky is that? Just whenever you want, take a trip!" He shrugged and walked back to the console. "That's right, it must get boring after a while, right?" I said as he began fiddling with the controls. "Nope. Do you know why? Because the joy and thrill that you get from seeing it gives me happiness, that I can still help a person I let down 13 years ago. Seeing people like you look at things with amazement and surprise is what keeps me going," He said as I continued to look outside. After a long silence, he clapped his hands together. "Ready to move on?" He had asked after a good few minutes. "Let's go back in time!" I said, wanting more adventures. "Let's visit Greece and see the Oracle of Delphi!" He said, it probably being the first idea that popped into his head. "Cool! Why not?" I said, closing the doors and following him to the console, grabbing onto it so I didn't go flying like last time. "Ready Delphine?" He asked as I nodded. "Geronimo!" He yelled out as he pulled down the lever, making a cool noise ring through the room. The moment we landed the Doctor ran to a screen and looked to find out where we were. "Just in case the TARDIS had other ideas" He had said. And how right he was.
