"Alright then, Miss Winchester, up you get!" He said, pulling me up with him as I wiped away my tears. "Let's go somewhere, a black hole, yes? How about one in the future?" He asked, jumping from one question to the other. I would have answered couldn't without bursting out into laughter. "Take those goggles off, I can't take you seriously," I said as I laughed, looking at the funny looking contraption on his head. "Really?" He asked jokingly. "I thought I might start a new trend with these awesome goggles!" I continued to laugh as he struts walked to the console with his glasses on. I sighed as we both stopped laughing and he began to put on a serious face. "Anyway...I've got something to ask you, Delphine," He said as he fiddled with his goggles in his hands. I waited for him to finish as he took a deep breath. "Not only do I owe it to you, but you'd love it too if you would travel with me? We can see everything, do everything, save worlds other than this one, and just have fun. What do you think?" He finished, his eyes lighting up. A smile slowly spread across my face. It was like there were fireworks going off inside me from excitement. I ran up to him, wrapped my arms around the funny, amazing, burgundy bowtie-wearing man and exclaimed, "Yes! Yes!" He let out a loud "Woohoo!!" And held me tight back and rocked me side to side, his laughs echoing around the whole room. He pulled away and threw open the door.
He clapped his hands, smiled a huge grin, and said, "Who's telling the family then?" I shook my head. "No one, because they won't be back for a few more weeks!" I said. "But, in case my brothers return and somehow find out that I've been taken away by my best childhood imaginary friend they've never met... especially because I'll be in time and space and won't be coming back for a few decades..." I trailed off, waiting for him to suggest something. But instead of a response, he simply looked at me blankly. "You idiot, let's just write an emergency note in case!" I yelled as a smile spread across his face and he started laughing. "What?" I asked not understanding why he was laughing. "The word you said. Idiot. I never thought you would say it. Hmm...Idiot. Sounds cool. Very funny when you say it, with your slight welsh accent, if you don't mind me pointing out. Should say it more often though, Miss Winchester. So much better than swearing. You don't swear often, do you Delphie?" He said in a rush as if he struggled to get all his thoughts out at once. A bit like what I did. "Oh me?" I answered, thinking. "Er no, not really, but not never either. But still, it's just not for me... I think it's horrible when you do it too much, that's when I hate it...not the people that swear...a lot of my friends do...my brothers do too...it's like those are the only words in their mental dictionaries" I trailed off, knowing what he was going to do. He walked up to me, poked my nose and said, "Liar." I sighed. "Well it's true, sometimes it's hard to just input the bad word into the sentence, you know" I explained. "And that's why I stay away from them because it takes too much effort and it's annoying."
He nodded and listened as I began to explain to him how we were going to construct this not because if even one thing was off to them, they'd kill me once they found me. "Now we've got to write normally in this note because of my brothers, they're very protective, and I mean VERY protective. Say NOTHING about weird aliens that could probably kill me or the fact that we're going into space. All you're going to be is a friend who is taking me traveling around the world, okay?" I told the Doctor as we made our way downstairs. "Oh sure, Miss Winchester. Trust me. I'm very good at keeping quiet and lying and that sort of thing," he reassured me. "Oh, and Delphine?" he asked as we walked into the room. "What?" I asked, looking over at him."Watch out for that sp-" he started to warn me before I stopped, knowing what he was going to say."Oh, sh-!" I screamed as I jumped on a sofa and moved as far away from the spider as I could. "I knew you were lying," he laughed, looking at my scowling expression. He was just going to say something more when he looked down, noticing the spider coming closer to him. "Make way, I'm coming too!" He said, jumping on the sofa, grabbing for the wall to steady him. "You too huh?" I asked as he sighed and pulled out his sonic screwdriver and pointed it at the spider. "Goodbye, creepy thing!" He said as it blew up, a small blood spatter appearing on the floor. "I would have never thought that someone who's traveled through time and space would be bothered by something as irrelevant as a spider," I said as I stepped down, dusting the sofas off as the Doctor found some paper and began to draft the note. "The TARDIS takes care of any uninvited guests for me," He said as I nodded and he looked back down, writing some more. "Don't exaggerate!" I said as he nodded.
When we finished the letter, after many drafts, he pulled me back to the TARDIS, not waiting for me. "Come on then!" The Doctor exclaimed, practically pulling me up the stairs, his crazy hair flopping over his eyes. "I'm coming, I'm coming!" I laughed, running to keep up with him, grabbing things I needed on the way. He stopped right at the top of the stairs, and I almost went flying into him. "Why did you stop?" I moaned, giving the Doctor a very annoyed look. "Your phone is ringing," He said. "I'll just go, er, check to see if the TARDIS is ready, see you in a minute," The Doctor said, before running off into my room. I went to the phone stand and picked up my phone. Adam calling. I sighed, not wanting to talk to my least favorite half-brother. "Adam" I began as I grabbed the charger and walked to my room. "Just checking up, Dean asked me to because neither he or Sam are able" I stopped right outside my bedroom door, fear bubbling in my stomach. "What happened?" I asked, the Doctor hearing me and looking up. "We'll be in Sioux Falls General for a few months," He said, avoiding my question. "Adam, what happened?!" I half yelled as he sighed, almost disintrested. "Sam's in a coma and Dean's lost some memory," He said with a monotonous voice. "Ok, are they okay otherwise?" I asked as I sighed. The damage was bad and thankfully Dean still remembered me and cared enough to force Adam to call me. "Fine, I'll stay with someone," I said, going to turn the phone off when I heard another voice. "Wait, Delph, stay safe and remember, we love you" I blinked back tears as I heard Dean's voice. "I will..." I said, my voice breaking against my wishes. I heard the phone click off as I wiped a tear away.
