I woke up and scanned my room. Trouble? 'I saw your dream too. That's definitely Moon Goddess. Alert someone Tara.' Tears filled my eyes up making a rippling effect on my vision. I stood out of the warm bed, and smelled what I smelled in my dream. So she is here. 'Yup. I can see her, you can't.' I nodded to my wolf and got on a new pair of clothes when Madison barged in my room. "Thank Moon Goddess that you're getting dressed. Alpha called for a meeting."

I ran to her, "we're in trouble!" I yelled looking at her in shock. "Trouble? No," she said taking it as a question. "No you don't under-" she cut me off by putting a hand on my mouth. "Just get dressed nerd. It's not that big of a deal," she ran out of my room and down the hallway. I quickly got dressed and followed her downstairs. I wore leggings and a Panic! At the Disco shirt, paired with black converse. I almost tripped down the stairs only to be greeted by Jacob. "Not the time Jacob," I said still running.

"You know Alpha called for a meeting right?" I nodded and stopped to look at him. His normally brown eyes had a shimmer of gold in them, excitement may I say? "Listen Jacob, our Pack is in danger." The gold shimmer was now replaced with orange. "Don't get passed yourself. We won't fall immediately after Madison becomes Alpha." I winced at the pang in my heart I felt, "this isn't the time to joke around! Moon Goddess told me." Jacob's gold shimmer returned as he shrugged and walked away.

I ran to the meeting center. Alpha saw me and turned to the audience, Alpha called an adult only meeting. "I would like to announce that we won this alpha and beta competition." The adults clapped their hands.

Alpha called for the rest of the pack and they started showing up. "I would like to announce your new alpha, Madison." Everyone clapped for her, I clapped as well but my heart was racing. "You also have a new-" Alpha Madison was cut off by Dega running into the audience and screaming, "Andrew's pack! They're here! Only one of the scouts have died. They brought numbers and weapons!" I mentally cursed and started gathering the little kids and mothers. I went into the secret floor of the packhouse, only accessible if you do a pattern into the elevator.

I took them to the stock room, which has everything they need to live for up to months. I told them to stay in the corner. "If anyone were to come in, parents you know what to do. Kids, if you need to get away, shift and run." I stepped back into the elevator and went up to the first floor of the house. I saw omegas wrestling Andrews pack. That's when it hit me, the "weak and malnourished," was just an act. I swallowed the lump in my throat and went to help my mother who was fighting off a warrior with Amy and Danielle. According to my pack's code, if anyone, blood or not, were to attack an omega would be killed if possible. So that's what I did, I kicked him in his stomach, and pulled him into a choke hold, eventually choking him to death.

I heard screams in Allie's room and ran to the room. Oh Moon Goddess. Please let this be a dream. I heard the screaming stop, and the smell of roses and sugar again. I unlocked her door and peered inside. I saw the once ginger headed girl turned into her wolf, a large ginger wolf, with the body of another warrior at her feet. She looked at me and I told her to follow me. I took her into the safe room and left them once again.

I ran outside seeing the battles going on. Madison was fighting off two smaller wolves while Colton was fighting one his own size. Madison killed the two wolves by stomping on their throats. To my surprise nobody shifted yet, except for Allie.

I felt a giant body run into me and I slammed to the ground. I saw a boy who looked around my age, he had curly dark hair and his eyes were red. I wrestled on the ground with him for a few moments before coming out on top. My arms ached for me to stop hitting him but I wouldn't until his heart stopped beating. Moon Goddess warned me. I looked up and saw Siqorra fighting an older male, he was huge.

I ran to try and help but I saw him take her in his arms and twist her neck before she could fight back. Tears sprung into my eyes and I saw her mate who I now learned was Kyle run to the guy. Kyle was strong and largely built and took the guy in seconds. He dropped to his knees and looked at Siqorra. I ran over to my friend, I felt for a heartbeat and felt nothing. Her hands were going cold and I tried with every ounce in me to make her magically warm again. I smelled Moon Goddesses scent again, "K-kyle," I stuttered, "Moon Goddess wants us to keep going." Kyle's face was now slick with tears and he stood up and charged toward another person.

I found myself checking every corner to make sure there weren't more of them. They fled quickly after Siqorra's life was taken. Only three of ours died. I walked into Madison's room to see her with a guy. He wasn't from our pack and he was awfully close to her. "You're a worthless mate," he spat at her. Madison's eyes immediately started watering as he shut her down piece by piece.

"You tried to kill me anyway, I don't need a mate like you, Maddox," she said having a voice crack. My wolf cried out hearing the words that the two mates were saying to each other. I took this as my chance to run up to him and put him in a choke hold. "Oh I bet it hurts your ego to be killed by me. Especially in front of your alpha mate. Last words to her? To the mate you're supposed to love?" He gulped down his fear and said seven words. "I reject you as my mate." I snapped his neck after those words. Madison stared blankly at the wall.

"I'll leave you to think, Alpha Madison." I stepped out of her room and into mine. The battle lasted for a good eight hours and it was now 7:00 p.m. I couldn't handle the deaths so I curled into a ball and cried myself to sleep.

I was by the moon river again, I frowned because I didn't want to be here. Moon Goddess walked from the moon down to me and put a hand over my mouth. "Be prepared. They're coming back. I saw Siqorra in the corner of my eye and removed the hand from my mouth. "Can I talk to her?" Moon Goddess nodded and I ran to her. I hugged her hard and told her I loved her.

Little did I know how much the Moon Goddess was going to help me in the next few days.
