I woke up and looked around. He didn't give me a time frame. I looked to my lap to see a note, on it, it said 'you have two days.' I spoke too soon. I smelled the sugar roses and hoped that this was some big joke. Akino, can you see her? Is she saying something? 'I can see her. She's got bars around her. Tara you need to save her or else all wolves will end up dead.' I screwed up my face. I'll save her.

I stood up and pressed the 'I need assistance button.' A doctor rushed in and I told him that I needed a pen and a notebook. "Why?" I thought of an answer, "I'm going to record my hallucinations." He nodded and sped off to get my notebook and pen. I grabbed the notebook and pen from him and sat in my bed and started a plan. Today is Monday, so I plan to take James' life first. It would be easy. I'd do it today. The earlier the better. Now I can't think about taking Leyton's. Maybe Moon Goddess would let them come back once she's free. I skip his plan for now and walk out of the room and into the elevator. There I see him.

"Hey James what are you here for?" He looked at me, "I'm here to visit people." I nodded, "wanna go into the forest for a little bit and catch up? I heard you and Madison are mates." He nodded and walked into the forest together. This isn't going to hurt you Tara. He's just another person that's sacrificing for Moon Goddess. I stood beside the tree with the bow and arrows in it. I peered inside and grabbed them. "What do you have those for?" I thought of an excuse. "My aim sucked when Andrews pack attacked. I wanna practice." He nodded and watched me shoot at the trees.

"You seem pretty good, are you lying?" My eyes widened and I pointed the arrow at him, "Moon Goddess is trapped and you're half the sacrifice," I said as I let the arrow loose. It hit the middle of his eyebrows and killed him.

The warm blood melted the snow below
him and he fell with a thud. I couldn't look at him any longer so I faced the other way. I guarded his body for about thirty minutes until he was cold. I ran into the packhouse, "James is dead! Someone help!" Madison blasted down the stairs first. She ran outside and into the snow. I watched as she slowly shifted into a blonde wolf win black paws. Her hazel eyes were still present in her wolf form. My heart ached the slightest bit for her and I followed her.

I saw her return with him on her back. She shifted back and screamed, "we're going to find who did this! It wasn't on accident!"

I watched her place him on her bed. "I'll keep him for a bit. Moon Goddess might bring him back." At that point I didn't care. She looked at me and started crying on my shoulder. "It was his time to go," I said faking a voice crack. I was thinking about how I was going to kill Leyton. I couldn't do it. Maybe I can frame him and Madison will do it for me. "I've got to go, I feel a hallucination coming on."

I ran into the hospital to find Leyton being cornered by the fighters. He had the notebook in his hand and a gun pointed at him. That made my job easier. I decided to link him. You're half the sacrifice. Let them kill you. That's when my wolf started screaming she wouldn't hush. I ignored her. What is this? I gave him a smirk and started taking to one of the fighters. "Well clearly it was him. I don't want a traitor mate. You could let Madison do it."

They brought him into Madison's room and I stayed behind to make sure that I wouldn't have to watch. I heard the crack of his neck and knew it was done. I felt my bones crack and I ran into the room. I growled at Madison, she turned into her wolf as well. I could see my reflection in the mirror behind her. I was a black wolf with white eyes and white spotted paws and my right ear was white. I looked at her in her eyes and mind linked her. Madison I have something to explain. Shift back.

We both shifted and I saw her cross her arms. "Moon Goddess was trapped by someone. The person told me to kill your mate and my mate. She's free now, and maybe she'll reward us for our sacrifice. Madison looked at me and took two things from her pocket. She injected me with one and injected herself as well. Then everything went black.
