It was currently 7:30 pm and Daniel was going to come over to your house at 8 so you to could have a movie night together. You were getting ready by putting the popcorn in the microwave and gathering some other things you could eat during the movie when Daniel came in. There was now a bunch of pillows and blankets surrounding you two now. Daniel and you decided that you were going to watch 'IT'.
"Babe, i'm going to get more popcorn, i'll be right back okay?" he asked you while getting up.
"Yeah that's fine, but hurry" you said looking up at him.
He gave you a kiss on the cheek causing a small smile to play on your lips. Daniel soon returns with more popcorn just in time too. The suspenseful music was playing which mean't that there was going to be a jump scare pretty soon. You put your hand over your eyes as soon as the music stops thinking there will be a jump scare soon. After about ten seconds you still didn't hear anything so you took your hand away from your eyes. As soon as you took your hand away a the clowns face popped up.
Covering your eyes you screamed " Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhh. OHMYGOD OHMYGOD"
You felt Daniel move closer to you and hug you from behind, one of his hands stroking your hair subconsciously as you buried your head in his chest.
"Y/N it's fine now, i'm here to protect you" Daniel whispered in your ear.
You turned around to put your face in chest, he played with your hair since he knew it would calm you down.
"Y/N are you ok? We could change the movie if you want" Daniel asked kissing your cheek.
"No, I'm fine"
Daniel kissed the top of your head gently, another action that seemed to cause all of your nerve endings to spark. You could feel his strong arms wrapped around you securely, protecting you from the world, his intoxicating scent overwhelming you, and his head nuzzled upon yours.
The movie had just finished and you yawned before looking up at Daniel to find him asleep. You carefully moved out of his grip and collected the chip packets and bowl as quietly as you could. You walked back through to the living room to find him still asleep which made you smile. He looked so peaceful and.... Beautiful. You stood for a couple more seconds admiring his features before carefully shaking his arm to waken him. His eyes opened slowly before meeting with yours.
"Time to go to bed I think, yeah?" You smiled at him, and he only nodded back in reply.
He got up from the couch and followed you through to the bedroom before you both got ready for bed separately.
"I love you Y/N," Daniel mumbled into the darkness, when you finally got in to bed.
"I love you too Danny." You whispered back, although you didn't know why. Just as you were about to close your eyes you felt his arm rest on your waist and him drag your body closer to his.
"You were too far away."
"Go to sleep babe"
You soon fell asleep with your head on his chest listening to his heartbeat.
