Today you and Jonah are driving to the beach, "You know Y/N, you should really put sunscreen on." Jonah said to you, without taking his eyes off the road.

"Jonah, don't worry, I never get sunburned." you say.

Jonah says looking at you for a few seconds and then back at the road, "But you have really fair skin. So, how is that even possible?"

"I guess I must really be lucky." You told him.

"Ok, babe, but if you get sunburned I won't hesitate to tell you I told you so."

You give a small smile to Jonah and say "Fine and when I don't get sunburned I won't hesitate to tell you that I told you so."

Jonah smiles widely and say, "Fine, lets see who will be right."

When you guys finally get to the beach, Jonah grabs your guys beach bag and takes it to the quiet part of the beach. He pulls out the sunscreen and puts it on himself. "you're positive, right?" You nod your head and say, "absolutely." You and Jonah had fun at the beach, but when it came time to leave your face was really hurting and you didn't know why.

You walk over to the car and wait for Jonah to pack your things up. You decided to look in the mirror and gasped at your really red face. You couldn't believe you got sunburned.

"I'm never going outside again," you muttered under your breath as you carefully climbed into the front seat of Jonah's car. Your skin was a bright tomato red colour and it stung beyond belief. To top it all off it radiated so much heat it felt like a second sun. "This sucks." You said to Jonah who was closing the trunk of the car after placing the beach chairs inside.

"Well I told you to put on sunscreen," Jonahsaid as he climbed in the seat next to you. He stuck the key in the ignition and turned the car on.

"I never get tan or burned so I figured I wouldn't need it." You said and Jonah shrugged his shoulders in a condescending matter. Both he and you knew that he was right but you would be damned if you admitted it. Jonah on the other hand was rather proud that he was right.

Jonah pulled out of the parking lot to the beach and began to make the drive home. You examined your reddened skin and mentally cursed yourself out for being hard-headed. Sitting out in the sun for several hours will no doubt burn your skin, so why did you make the dim decision of ditching the sunscreen?

"Do you want me to stop at the store and get you some aloe?" Jonah said as he stopped at a red light. You nodded your head and looked at your skin while he laughed under his breath.

Once you guys arrive at the house, you quickly ran and unlocked your guys front door with your key and ran upstairs to the bathroom. While you we're in the bathroom, you we're observing your face. It didn't take long for Jonah to run up the stars to see what was wrong with you. He ran and opened the bathroom door, that you forgot to lock.

Once he saw your face you said, " It's just so red "

Jonah slowly walks over to you and says, "Does it hurt?"

You reply, "Well, yeah," Jonah then softly kisses your lips and says,

"Babe, When you're in pain, I'm in pain." You stood there shocked at how sweet Jonah is.

" I love you Jonah!" you say smiling, mentally making a note to do something to make up for this later. Jonah smiles and says "I love you too! Now lets go put some aloe on your face to make you feel better." You smile and kiss Jonah passionately.
