Kidnapped

Chapter 19

I woke up snuggled into Loki like I did when he comforted me after my dream. I guess he moved me to the bed after I fell asleep. I didn't move, I just laid there and enjoyed the last few moments we would have together. He woke up and smiled down at me.
"Did Mr. Stark see me last night after everything happened?" I asked.
"Yes, love. But I talked him into letting you stay overnight." He said.
"That doesn't sound like Tony Stark to me." I said.
Loki shrugged and pulled me into his chest.
"I love you, darling." He said.
I blushed. I know he's said it before, I just can't believe it.
"Only a few minutes until you have to go to Asgard." I said.
We got up and Thor came to the cell to get Loki. We walked out and Thor put handcuffs on Loki and I followed them upstairs. When we got up to the living room, everyone was waiting as if they had something to say. I stood beside Peter and looked at Loki. He was looking down. I really didn't want him to leave. I'll probably never see him again. Mr. Stark stepped forward to talk to me.
"We have decided to keep Loki here until you get your things from your house here to move in." He said.
Well that's weird...
"Umm, okay." I said.
"Steve will be taking you to you're apartment to get your things."
I nodded and Steve led me out to the car. He was driving (duh) and I was still confused as to why Loki was staying until I got back.
"Are you ready to join us?" He asked snapping me out of my trance.
"Oh, yeah. I'm glad my parents agreed."
Steve nodded.
"Yeah, turns out your more than just smart, huh?"
"I guess so."
We got to my apartment and I ran inside to get my things together. I may or may not have packed a Why Don't We poster. I can't help it, Jack Avery is an amazing human being. I got my clothes, and told my parents goodbye. This was the quickest I ever thought moving out would be. I had one bag of clothes, and the other was extras like posters and makeup. I don't why I'm bringing my makeup, I never use it. Just in case I guess. I walked back out to the car and put my things in the trunk. I won't explain the details of the ride back. It was boring. Anyways, we got back to Avengers mansion, tower, whatever you wanna call it. We went inside, but when I went to go to my room to get settled, I was stopped in the main room.
"Nikki, we have something extremely important to tell you. It's your first mission as an Avenger." Mr. Stark said.
I've been an Avenger for less than 24 hours, and I already have a mission. Everyone including Loki gathered around to listen.
"Umm, o-okay.. what is it?"
"You are going with Loki to Asgard."
"What?! Why?!" I asked.
"Well, you seem to be close to him, lady Nikki." Thor started. "And we figured instead of sending him to the prison, you could watch over him for a while."
I still couldn't believe what I was hearing.
"Oh. Um okay. When do we leave?" I asked.
"As soon as possible, lady Nikki."
I hate when he calls me that. Loki finally spoke up.
"I'm going to have this girl babysit me?" He asked.
"Unless you want to go to prison for the rest of your life, then yes!"
Thor and Loki argued for a minute. Then his eyes met mine. I looked at him lovingly, and he stopped arguing.
"Yes, Thor." He said.
I smiled at him.
"I suppose I should get my things then?" I asked.
"Well, my father Odin has gotten a chamber ready for you. There is a full wardrobe for you. You do not have to bring anything." Thor said.
"Well okay." I said.
I didn't want to know how they got my sizes. Probably Peter. He does literally know everything about me.
"Nikki, do you really want to go?" Peter asked.
"Yeah. I need to prove that I can handle this. I'll be fine." I said.
He hugged me.
"I love you so much. I'm so glad we're best friends." He said.
"I love you too. You've always been my best friend. Thank you for being there for me."
"Okay kiddo. You need to get going." Mr. Stark said.
I nodded, and hugged everyone. I went around the room, and I hugged Clint, Natasha, Steve, Bruce, and yes, Tony.
"Thank you all so much. You have no idea how happy I am to finally have a place I feel like I belong." I said.
We all said goodbye and I went with Thor and Loki. We walked for a while until I wasn't sure where we were anymore. Thor said something like
"Heimdall open the Bifrost!" And there was this portal thing. We walked through and across a rainbow bridge. I couldn't believe my eyes when we made it across.
"Nikki, welcome to Asgard." Loki said.

I'm sure you would love to hear my adventure in Asgard, and boy did I have some. But I believe that's a story for another time.
