Chapter 9

We are now confident in whatever we do. We go around hand in hand, talk together non-stop, just like a happy couple, but I felt very cautious constantly because of Baekhyun...

Every time he would look at us, his face would portray a flash of anger and jealousy.

One day after class as me and Daehyun were walking in the hall, Baekhyun came and slammed Daehyun into the lockers. I dropped my books and gasped hurrying towards Daehyun who was clutching his shoulder.

"What do you think your doing? Don't hurt him!" I yell furiously.

Baekhyun stares at me, then turns back totally ignoring me.

"Why should I? Why can't I? I'm right here totally open for you, but still you run away. I love you that much, but you don't. It really bothers me!" Baekhyun spits out coming closer towards me.

Daehyun gets up and puts one hand on Baekhyun's shoulder.

"Stop, right now. There's no good in any of this." Daehyun attempts to calm him down.

Baekhyun shakes off his hand and throws a punch at Daehyun who slams against the lockers again.

Daehyun groans and touches his lips that are now bloody. He gets up, a threatening look on his face and is about to throw back a punch. I run forward and hug him at the waist pleading him to stop.

Daehyun keeps his hand in the air, but slowly lowers it onto my shoulders, patting me, telling me that it was over.

I let go and look at Daehyun's bleeding lips...that was going to leave a mark. I gave one last glare to Baekhyun.

"Don't ever hurt him again," I warned.

Then without a look back I took Daehyun to the nurse's office.

When we entered the nurses office, Daehyun was given immediate attention, what with his now bloated lips. The nurse gasped in shock and ushered him towards a bed, she goes and gets the supplies ready. He sat down and sighed.

"You look guilty, Sohyun. Don't be, it wasn't your fault." Daehyun said.

"You know...you saying that doesn't make anything better right?

It is my fault you idiot!" I remark.

Daehyun chuckles and looks up towards the ceiling. I stare down at his feet and try not to meet his eyes.

Daehyun lifts my chin up with one hand gently and the other caresses my cheek.

He leans in and whispers,"I love you." in my ear.
