On its wavering unstable surface I try to scribble
A question I've always wanted to ask
Hoping perhaps the waves would send it to it's source
And for the answer my soul eagerly awaits

I want to be as you;  a pretty surface on me plastered and my emotions hidden deep down. The art of hiding emotions, I want to wear it like a crown.

Waiting for the answer, I watch it flowing in magnificent waves
My heart wishing I could get ahold on such blissful peice of nature
And so I try to open my hands wide,  fist some of its flows in my hands
And bring it close to my heart as though it'd now be mine

But from my hand it escapes,  goes running to its original place

And In that I found my answer that the waves to me sent

We try to hide our emotions, fist them and bring them close to our hearts
'here here, I hope no one would peer
But we forget that our eyes speak
A language that's more effective than words

From you river I learnt a lesson
Our emotions like your water
Ever flowing, ever changing
And no matter how hard we fist them hoping perhaps no one could see
Our eyes outspeak our secrets, in a language that's clearer than words could ever be.
