When we destroyed Vormostat and I saw true purpose of my existence through the Holy Fire...
Stopping Vormostat was beyond our capabilities. We fought against a high priest of the City of the Sun. He was one of a small group that held the New God title.
We laid an ambush at the entrance of the city, near a major temple on the periphery. His escort didn't resist our assault of fire and ice. For a moment, we assumed a victory, but the new God emerged from the firewall summoned by Balcatemi. The priest was very infected, in fact he was the one most heavily dominated by Vormostat's worms we had ever faced.
"Two, watch out!" My warning came too late.
From the flames came the attack of the verminal priest. He threw his pointy staff at Two's chest with supernatural strength.
Three drew his sword, and launched a whip of wind that cut the ground towards the priest and parted him into two halves. Again, we assume the victory, but to our surprise, the separated halves were joined again by dozens of worms before they fell apart from each other.
I attacked with a jet of flame, but it was magically diverted. Four attacked him using the axe, cutting off his arms but they were replaced by a large amount by raging worms. The arms that fell on the ground, produced another body, and now we had two opponents. The original gripped Four's neck with tentacle-like arms. The elf struggled, fighting against suffocation.
At the same time, One froze the copy. I tried to help Four, but my attacks failed, one after another. That caused me chills as I saw Four dying slowly. Five attacked the priest's eyes. They burned, but in a moment, dozens of slug-like maggots emerged possessing a pair of eyes each.
"Ha, ha, ha! I finally got you! You fools! Did you really think we would fall into an ambush? It is we who ambushed you!"
Three dealt two blows and cut off the legs of the devil, causing just another setback. The creature reconfigured and now moved along the ground like a caterpillar.
At this point, I thought we would be defeated. I focused so that the Balcatemi's Nam-Lu would assist me in knowing how to defeat him. This was when that terrible vision came to my mind: I saw a monster of fire and lava rock of gigantic proportions, high as a mountain stomping on the City of the Sun. His huge feet crushing whole blocks of temples and palaces at once. What I saw was not a result of using any of our weapons. We were cooperating with the colossus of fire. I could talk to him. At that moment, a strong connection was forged between us. In my vision, I reached the consciousness of the Fire Lord, the oldest and strongest fire spirit. I discovered that he lived in the Land of the Nine Moons from the remotest ages. Now he was collected in the center of the earth, but in ancient times, he helped the Gods create the continents and saw the evolution of the planet when plant life forms first emerged. He was asleep for millions of years, but now, for a moment, I reached into his mind and he told me his dream. I knew then that was through him that we would have the strength to destroy Vormostat.
"Mardihk, you bastard! We need your help!" One implored.
Mardihk answered the summons. He brought with him hundreds of winged minions previously members of Marlak's hordes. While dozens of them advanced and were eliminated by the priest, others rescued our group. We were taken away and when we landed safely, I revealed – I've seen it! I've seen it! I know how to stop Vormostat!
"What? Are you delusional?" accused One.
"We need to head to Mount Hostenoist, immediately!"
The portal took us to the Lava Mountain. We met Ulbrirge, the dwarf responsible for the Forge.
