Chapter 28
*Cam's P.O.V.* I went to sleep after Cora left. But I woke up. What was with all this commotion outside? I walked outside of the door and saw a bunch of people. There was like 5 or 6 police cars just surrounding the place. I headed down stairs so I could go see what was going on.
I came to the door labeled "floor 5" I went down the staircase. It was really quiet in here although it was that loud outside. I put my phone in my sweatpants and headed downstairs. It was pretty late now. I passed the door that said "floor 4" and I continued so I could get to ground level. I stopped when I saw blood smears on the floor. Should I go back up? What happens if there is somebody waiting for me up there. I went around the corner. I stopped when I saw somebody sitting in the corner. I didn't want to say anything. I tried to hold my breath so he didn't know I was watching him. He had a gun in his hand. It's the murderer. He stood up. "Hello?" He said quietly with the gun still in his hand. I got a better look at his face. It was Jake.
I reached in my pocket to see if I had anything in them. Nothing except my iphone. I put back in my pocket. Should I fight him? I looked at him. He started walking down the stairs. This was my chance. I ran around the corner and jumped on him. We both fell pretty hard, I mean we were going down the stairs. "WHAT THE FUCK?" He said laying on the ground. I stood up. He used his hands to push himself up. Where was his gun? I looked around. It was on top of the stairs. I ran up and grabbed it. I think I know how to shoot a gun? "Don't hurt yourself buddy," He said standing up. His head was bleeding. "How did you find us?" I said. He stood there. "Hey I guess i'm good at finding my girlfriend," He said smiling. "She's not your girlfriend." I said smirking.
I really hate this guy. Was that his blood back there? "Who's blood is that?" I said pointing to the one I saw earlier. He laughed. "You didn't hear," He said. I just looked at him. "I killed your friend," He said smiling. "And, i'm gonna kill you," He smiled and jumped towards me. He had a knife.
He swung it at me at least 5 times. Surprisingly I was pretty good at dodging it. I put the gun to his chest. "Oh, I also probably killed your friend Matthew? I'm not sure what his name was, but, you know what?" He lifted his knife. "I'm just gonna make sure you and all your friends die." He pushed the knife into my shoulder. I pulled back the trigger that went into his chest. I sat on the stairs. Did I kill him? I looked at the knife in my shoulder. I stood up used my foot to touch him. He didn't wake up. I ran down the stairs and saw Cora coming up. I looked at her. I smiled and everything went black.
