Chapter 3

I woke up to hearing tossing and turning coming from the couch in the living room, Cameron. I sat up and hung my feet over the bed. I walked to the living room and saw him rolling around in crumpled sheets. I looked at him half-awake and half-asleep.

"Are you okay?" I whispered. He turned around facing the ceiling not making eye contact but speaking to me he said, "Just can't fall asleep." I tried to think of a solution as I stared at his adorable messy hair. "You can sleep with me? I mean like it is your bed." I smiled in the dark, not trying to be dirty but just to be nice. He sat up. "Is that okay with you?" He whispered back.

I nodded my head as we both walked back to the bed and covered ourselves in the blankets. "Night," He said. I knew he was tired. I think we both just needed a little bit of sleep.

I woke up as I felt arms being wrapped around me. I looked who was cuddling with me to find a sleeping Cameron.

His hair messy, it was probably like 4:00 in the morning, I could see a little bit of sun outside but thinking about it might be 2:00 and it was just a light post outside.

I don't even know why I care actually. I stared at Cam's chest, going up and down. I was staring at him as he held on to me like we were a thing, you know, an item. I don't know. I guess i just dug him and he dug me. But either way he was a very attractive human being.

I woke up as it was still dark. I looked on my side, even though it was dark, I could tell Cam wasn't next to me anymore. I sat up and threw my legs over the bed as my body, began to shiver.

I cracked the door open and saw a little bit of light coming from the tv. I walked out more to see if maybe Cam just went back to the couch or something. I walked over to the couch as I saw his body laying there.

I went over to shake him to see why he left the bed. "Cameron," I whispered as I shook his body. I gave up as I stood in front of him. lazy. I thought to myself. I reached over again to shake him.

As soon as I was about to touch him I felt somebody grab my hand. I was spun around. To face a man. "Jake, what are you doing here?" I whispered, "And let go of my freaking wrist." I glared at him. I looked into his eyes that once mesmerized me.

Now they just looked like pain. He smelled like alcohol not to mention. "How did you get in here?" I whispered. He just stared at me and smirked. He started to look at Cameron. "What did you do to him?" He just kept smiling and walked out, "I guess everybody hides a key under their mat." I ran over to where Cameron was and started to shake his body. He wasn't responding or waking up.

"What did you do to him?" I nearly screamed, "WHAT DID YOU DO?" I said starting to cry.

I turned around and faced Cameron's lifeless body. I grabbed his face in my hands. "Ca-am." I said crying, "Cam." The room started to shake. It must be an earthquake.

I started to cry trying to cover his body. "We're gonna be okay." I kept on saying. My sight started going white as I saw Cameron shaking me, "Cora! Wake up." I looked at his face, "It was just a dream, you're okay." He whispered as he held me in his arms. You're okay too.

I heard a knock on the front door. "Stay here i'll go get it." He smiled as I just sat on the bed. Across the living room was the front door so from the bedroom I had a pretty good view at who was there. Cameron opened the door. "Morning." This man said as Cameron stepped back.

I stared at them as they had a conversation. I looked at Cameron's back as he became weirdly still. "Cam?" I said, "Is it okay," I walked to the couch as I saw Cameron turn and look at me.

He mouthed something. "What?" I said as I looked at him. I came closer to the door as I saw my ex-boyfriend with a gun pointed at Cameron's stomach. "Jake, what are you doing." I guess you could say this is a "dream come true." I knew Jake could punch a guy or two, but where the hell did he find a gun.
