Georgianna put on the sunglasses that she bought at the last minute in a gift shop; spending time with exceedingly good Legilimens had some strong drawbacks. She hoped that Severus wouldn’t notice her little precaution as she tried to curl up under the blanket. She heard the flight attendant pass her and exchange pleasantries with some other passengers. Peering little to the side, she could see that Severus was reading something.

“Do you really think there’s a need for sunglasses in here Lorrelaine?” he asked without looking up.

She stirred uneasily; Georgianna felt sure that Severus would give up after first two hours of flight but it wasn’t the case. Even after the fifth hour when she personally felt it was time for her to Apparate out, he looked quite happy.

She couldn’t help but to glare at him, remembering those past five hours; Severus Snape seemed to have taken it to himself to irritate her and he was good at it. It all started at the airport when he arrived; on time but wearing wizarding robes. Persuading him to go change took them almost half an hour.

Georgianna turned to the other side as the memory engulfed her:

“This is ridiculous Lorrelaine, I’m not wearing this.”

He seemed to be calm but she could sense his annoyance. She sighted:

“You skipped a button.”

The time was running out and if she decided to give him a lesson on proper Muggle attire, they would miss the flight; Georgianna was determined not to give him the satisfaction and started to quickly re-button his shirt. Her hands moved up his chest efficiently until she met his observing gaze that made her stop what she was doing.

There was something about the way he was looking at her that made her want to run and yet it seemed to be the bit of him that seemed to ask her to stay. She watched him frown in confusion as he opened his mouth to say something.

“Oh dear, he skipped a button didn’t he?”

Georgianna looked to her right to see an elderly woman with her hair propped up in a bun. She was observing Severus with a kind smile:

“My husband was the same way; always in such a hurry but then he forgot half of his own things at home or his tie was a mess, and the buttons… well that was a chapter for us only; even though sometimes he happened to address me as a silly dunderhead…” the woman winked at Georgianna as if they were accomplices.

“But such a stunning couple as you are… I’m sure that doesn’t happen. Better watch him darling; jewels like him are hard to find.”

Severus cleared his throat and she could feel him pull her up to him.

Georgianna looked warily at the slight smirk on his face with which he addressed the older woman:

“I’d never say that to my wife,” he purred as his lips touched hers gently. His kiss was soft, noninvasive, and the hand that cradled the back of her head invited her to lean back at it. A woman would have to be a real fool to step away from him right there.

Georgianna turned to the side a little.

I still should have stopped him.

Even though that happened hours ago, her lips had a slightly tingling sensation to them that intensified as she contemplated the memory once again.

Perfect kiss in the worst moment possible, she thought, hating herself for the lack of self-control.

“Why the sunglasses Lorrelaine?” he asked again, interrupting her line of thought.
