Mark's POV
Here I am standing in my room facing the city of LA. It didn't change. Years we had not meet but it seems like the only one who is changing is me.
I heard a knock on the door and it is my butler, John.
"Young master, Sir and madam would like you to join the rest downstairs for breakfast."
John said.
"Alright, I'll be there."
I said not facing him but the view of the city of LA.
I went downstairs and met my parents and siblings. The first thing I know is my youngest brother Joey coming to give me a hug.
"Mark!"
He said.
"It's been a while Joey."
I said smiling.
"Welcome home Mark, it must be tired after all those plane ride."
My mom said.
"Not at all."
I said and sat down on the chair beside my dad.
"I'm glad you came back son."
My dad said.
I kept quiet and not answering him. I stared at the table and the whole dining hall is just so quiet.
"Well it should be a happy day, lets all have breakfast shall we?"
My mom said.
"Ya, Mark haven't come home in a long time, we haven't have a family gathering of our own."
Tammy said.
The housemaid set the food on the dining table as we began to eat. I don't really have any appetite to eat at all.
My mom kept getting different dishes for me but I am just forcing myself to eat. Even thought I kept forcing myself, I feel so sick that I wanna vomit the food out.
"Mark are you not feeling well?"
My mom asked as I shook my head.
"No, I just don't have the appetite to eat."
I said.
"If you would excuse me, I'm sorry to not be able to stay for the breakfast."
I said.
I took my coat and went out. I took my car from the driver because I just wanna be alone for now.
As I was driving. My phone rang and I received a message from Jackson. I stop by the side and look at my phone.
Slowly, I reached out to it and my body just froze. All I know is that after seeing this message. My destiny will be all changed.
Without anymore hesitation, I checked the mailbox and...
Throwback
As soon as I heard about the accident. I ran out of the cubicle in the washroom and I pushed the rest of the people in front of me away.
About 4 bodyguards came to hold me back and stop my way but I just punch and kick them one by one away from my way.
At last, escaped the airport and run towards the place where I think the accident would had been.
I came by a huge crowd and I could see blood all over the floor. The guys arrived in their motorbike and they hurry got off and ran towards a body laying on the ground.
"SHINA!"
We yelled.
I ran towards her and carried her up and rested her head on my lap.
"Shin, wake up! Shin!"
I said and softly slapping her face.
"Someone call the ambulance!"
Jaebum yelled.
"Shina...wake up, you can't leave me just like that, WAKE UP SHINA!"
The ambulance then arrived in a few minutes and they drive quickly to the nearest hospital.
The doctor and nurses pushed her into the emergency surgery room and we're asked to stay outside. I collapsed onto the ground.
