Lilium burst through the front door of the manor and headed towards her room. Felix and Veta were talking in the hall. Lilium ducked her head and fixed her hair so they wouldn't be able to see it. Hoping they wouldn't, she walked passed them. Veta turned to look at her.
"Lilium, how was school?" He asked with a perky tone. She didn't answer. She kept walking forward. When she reached her room she slammed the door and fell backwards onto her bed. The room was silent for a couple moments before the door opened slightly.
"Lilium? Why didn't you answer me? Are you still sick?" Veta questioned as he walked into the room.
"No. I just want to be alone."
He seemed to be scanning Lilium. She pulled a blanket over her face which was quickly removed by her father. By now he knew what seemed different.
"What happened? Your hair looks horrible! Who did this to you?" He asked so many questions at once it made Lilium's head spin.
"I don't know... it was a couple of guys. Noir and Cale came to stop them, but..."
"Who is Noir?"
Lilium realized she hadn't told anyone about him.
"Noir is my friend, I think," she informed him. He smiled a little.
"You made a friend?"
"Yeah, but everyone else teased me. They all hate me! Don't make me go back there. I'm scared," Lilium quickly replied. Veta was shocked to see her so afraid. Tears were shining in her eyes. At any minute the dam would break. Cale walked into the room.
"Uncle William, I'm so sorry! She walked away to use the bathroom and some guys attacked her. You should check to see if she has any bruises," he said.
Veta turned to Lilium and noticed a small bruise by her neck. It was probably from when the kid when he grabbed her.
"Does it hurt?"
Lilium thought for a moment before replying no.
They sat in silence. The tension was growing. Veta wanted to know what happened to his child. He was angry. Lilium and Cale watched as he pulled out his phone and dialed the school's number.
He went off to ask the school questions. Cale looked at his cousin.
Lilium looked down at the floor in confusion of what to do.
"So you're a clone? What's it like?" He suddenly asked her.
She thought for a moment and sighed.
"It sucks. Nobody understands you. Nobody relates to your problems. I can't stand it sometimes. Lox is a horrible man. He created me for evil. He didn't ever want me for the good of the world. He only wanted to kill my mom," she paused and tears spilled before she continued with anger, "but I'm done dealing with him. He said I was nothing without him but he was wrong. I'm my own person. He's not in charge of me anymore. I'm gonna get back at him for killing my mother. It's going down. I can't stay here anymore. I won't suffer. Get Noir. We are going on a mission. This life is mine now."
Cale seemed shocked and excited at the same time. He dialed Noir's number.
"He's gonna come with his sister. Her name is Formosa, just a heads up. Let's go sneak out the back."
The two geared up and snuck down the hall. They tried to be as quiet as possible. They made it to the balcony. Cale pointed to a tree.
"Let's use that to get down. Can you climb?"
"Maybe," Lilium replied.
They quietly and quickly jumped onto the tree branch closest to the balcony and began to climb down. When they reached the bottom Noir was already there with a girl behind him. It was surely his sister.
"Guys! Let's go kick some ass!" He yelled. The girl smiled.
"Formosa! Meet Lilium, my cousin. She's a clone!" Cale informed the girl. She shook Lilium's hand and the two smiled at each other.
"Who are we after?" Noir asked.
"A man named Lox. He started the project of cloning at the DNA laboratory. He's a fairly old man and usually wears darker colors. Trust me, he's a creep. I hate him. I'm going to get back at him for killing my mother," Lilium quickly explained. Cale screeched and the twins looked scared, quickly acting innocent. Lilium turned and yelled.
"You're not going after Lox alone."
It was Veta.
"Dad! This isn't... I'm... busted, aren't I?" Lilium sighed as she looked down at her feet.
"Not exactly. You see, I believe he deserves to be in jail or something. Akira and Kiki will be safe here with Felix. I have full faith in him."
"What're you saying, Uncle Will?" Cale questioned.
"You see, children... I'm saying that he will not get away with this. Count me in."
